    My "Camry with a tuxedo on" rides and drives like a dream at 130k miles So would a Camry.It's as much of a Camry with a tux on as the Acura TL is to the Honda Accord. Sure it's a decent car, but I don't really consider it a real Lexus when 90%+ of the parts are shared with the Camry!

    Was that in 1999? I consider my '97 LS400 Coach to be worth about $7000, and mine has 105k miles. If jcrome gets $10k for his, I may have to consider wrecking my LS400 to collect $12k!

    SW03ES, I agree. I think asking that much for the car will turn a lot of people off from even haggling it down to a reasonable price--whenever I see cars that are listed at $4k over what I'd be willing to pay, I just ignore them! It does appear to be in very nice shape, though.

    By the way, how did you manage to spin the car? I've tried to make the LS do anything but understeer like a pig, but I haven't been very successful so far.

    Yeah, since you have full coverage, just hope it gets totaled so you can start fresh! Maxima/I-35 sounds like a boring car, fo sho. I'd love an M-45 (the 2003-ish one). 345 horsepower! VROOM!

    Sorry, but I just had to laugh! AHAAHHAhahaahha---what a sight that car is after a road trip! (The bird is an excellent touch!) I am glad you are okay. Where is the damage? All I see is a problem with the fender. Get a used one slapped on! [EDIT]I see from the other thread that there is some damage to the steering system. Too bad...

    I have Yokohama Avid Touring S tires and they are fantastic! They are probably as good as the Michelins at a fraction of the cost.

    Dang, that sucks. Hope you have collision coverage. Learn from that experience--I sure learned from it when I fell asleep at the wheel and ran over some rumble strips many years ago. Luckily the rumble strips did their job and I didn't hit anything...

    I am having trouble using the Google search. Apparently there is a thread on here on how to remove and clean the power steering filter/screen. Apparently there is one on the steering rack and one near the reservoir?

    Does anyone have actual photos showing the crappy beam pattern using HIDs in the 1st gen housings? I would be curious to actually see this.

    By the way, does anyone know if there is an age limit on timing belts? Mine was replaced 30k miles ago in 2003.
