  1. Sometimes you have to turn the streering hard to get it to release. Like Alexander said, pull hard then turn the key, try both ways.
  2. EX---CUUUUUSSSEE ME ! It's the beans.
  3. Ok, you did all the easy stuff now follow eatingupblacktop's advice go for water pump and change timing belt. And don't drive it anymore until problem is resolved.
  4. Sound like thats the problem right there. That fan has to come on when the A/C is on, it takes a little while for it to turn on after you start the A/C but it should be running when A/C is on. Check the fan before replacing it, feed 12v to the connectors and see if it spins. If it does then it's the relay. I didn't know if that model car had a auxiliary fan, if not I would have told to go there first. Sorry
  5. Just one thing. Don't do it! If you want swirl marks, scatches etc. etc. etc. Lexus uses a very soft clear coat that scratches very easy. If you take it to a car wash use the touchless type or by hand with a two bucket system. Take your time and read through this thead it will tell you alot about what your asking. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=45222
  6. Look what happened to Preston Tucker, I'm sure they have a vaults full of ideas that have been bought and shelved.
  7. Ven please keep us posted on your overheating problem. Did you get it resolved?
  8. I've started to see today a few stations with 3.99 premium. I hope this trend continues.
  9. I looked up parts for your '96 LS400 and I see it uses a fan clutch. When your engine is hot, turn the car off and see if you can spin the fan, if it spins freely with little effort then it's bad. Be careful not to burn yourself while checking this and make sure you have the keys to the car in your pocket. Don't want to loose any fingers. If the fan is tight go for the thermostat, might be stuck half opened. If you are going to change the fan might as well change the thermostat also. Hope this helps.
  10. Not yet but pretty soon, he was waiting to receive a valve he needed. I think most likely by next week he should be up and running.
