  6. Since I bought the spoiler from my dealer, they said all dealings have to be through my dealer. They (SpoilerDepot) have no record of my buying the spoiler from them. Rightly so, I didn't. As a matter of fact, when I got the first replacement LED strip, I got it from the dealer....gratis. I have it scheduled to go in next Monday. I wonder what my loaner will be, IS, ES or RX. :whistles: Oh what I will want to buy next week. steviej

  8. I would make a guess that they were the bulbs for the DRL (daytime running lights). On the light stalk, see if there is a DRL position or an AUTO position. If so, twist the switch to that. Then start the car and put it in R or D and while stepping on the brake, have someone go see if those bulbs light up. When in doubt, read the manaul. If you don't have a manual, log into www.lexus.com, go to the owners section, register, and request a free one. steviej
  9. The dealership is actually going to do something. He said he needed a good reason to stop doing business with them. He has been doing business with them for 15 years and recently SpoilerDepot has made all there commercial customers COD. He was outraged. Never made a late payment, always used their product yet he gets treated the same as the bad customers. With the newer models all going to lip spoilers, he will be dealing directly with Lexus and L-tunedparts more. steviej

I like the idea, especially if the idea was season related. However, the cost of production would have to minimal so that the cost to the member was minimal. $20 would be tops. You also have to keep in mind that the caleneder has to be ready print by around Sept/Oct of the year before so we would be looking at maybe a 2008 calender for the first one. I suggest polling the membership to first see how many people would be interested in: 1. supplying possible photographs. 2. purchasing the end product. steviej
  11. I was at Autozone today and just for chits and giggles, I looked at the ICONs. They were ~$25 each. The Valeos are the same price on tirerack.com. I'm sticking with Lexus OEM. Hey, Bren, here is a long shot. What kind of mount are on the Subi's. If it is the J hook type, you could get the arm and insert from Lexus and try them. Measure the blades, what size. The pre-02 ES used 22" and 18" blades and the 02+ ES uses 24 and 20 inch blades. I am sure the Subi fits in there somewhere. But, good luck with the RainX. Let us know how they are. steviej
  12. SpoilerDepot returned my email and basically said the warranty was 1 year so tough crap. They proceeded to give me instructions on how to sand, prime and repaint their product. At the advice of my service manager, I had the parts manager look at the spoiler. He was very concerned with the appearence and condition of the product he sells for SpoilerDepot. He was also surprised when I told him about my email responce from SpoilerDepot and the fact that they don't prime before they paint. He has offered to remove the spoiler, sand it down, prime it and repaint it at no charge, plus I get a loaner for two days too. Now that is what I call service. steviej
  13. basically the problem I found with the Valeo and should also occur with the Icon is that (contrary to manufacturer's claims that they don't freeze) they do freeze and thus do not maintain a constant pressure accross the windshield. This leave major (huge) gaps where blade and glass do not meet so nothing gets scraped off. This may be different with your heating area. Then I would say give it a shot. Traditional wipers have maybe 4 or 5 hinge points that freeze up but are easily freed with a couple of smacks or flexes. The valeo/icons have no hinges but the flexible are material gets coated and then freezes which then inturn limits the flexibility of the wiper. My guess is you will find over the next couple of winters that people in the snow belt will get fed up very easy and go back to conventional wiper arms and blades. steviej
  14. Bren, you are in snow and cold country. The ICON and Innovisions are basically the same as the Valeo blade. Read what I posted on CL about the Valeos. If your OCD is like mine and we both know that to be true, you will hate them in the snow and freezing weather. CL Valeo post but that was just my experience, by all means do some searches. However, I think Audi and VW come standard with that style now. steviej

Don't judge or comment on what you think is happening here based on what is happening in a much smaller market across the glode. No we don't work for apple, at least none of us that I know of.   16. I question the battery life of 24 hours. My current nano is supposed to get 14 hours. But even at the shortest display setting and no equalizer effects I get 5-6 hours tops. I also find the more I turn it on and off, the shorter the battery time is. I like the colors and style, but for now, I'll keep what I got. steviej
  17. P1135 and P1133 are codes that refer to Bank 1 Sensor 1 (pre cat, next to firewall). steviej
  18. usually they are not. Recently I had to price an OEM B1S1 sensor and it ran about 225 from a Toyota parts counter and close to $250 at Lexus. Online Lexus parts are cheaper but some require shipping charges. www.sparkplugs.com is another alternative. steviej

  21. Correct, P1135 is Air/Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction for Bank 1 Sensor 1. This is the pre-cat O2 (also called AF) sensor between engine and firewall. steviej
