You don't have to heat up modern cars, in fact its much more efficient, and overall better for the car to just start it and drive off. Letting it idle just wastes gas and legnthens the time the engine is running while cold. Ask any mechanic. Lexus transmissions automatically hold lower gears longer to increase friction to warm the car up more quickly. You'll be shocked by how quickly it warms up when you drive off vs letting it idle. I usually wait about 30 seconds (enough time to get comfy, seat belt on & turn on the radio) & then drive off. Give the oil a chance to get to critical engine parts......but it's not necessary to warm the car up for several minutes before you drive off. ;)

Don't forget to get a 4 wheel alignment. B)

Yup, one of the best movies I've seen in over a year.......& a kid's movie to boot. All car buffs of all ages will enjoy it! Would have been nice to see a Lexus (or Subaru for that matter) as a character. B)

I took all German car companies off my list when shopping for a vehicle.......CR stuff I've known for years, but it was good friends & co-workers that told me their stories.

Not to worry about that case LEX.......they try to be different all the time in Quebec.......they want to form their own country within Canada & have for years lol.

lol......nope the site admin's (one of them site owner) did the choosing.....& they have very nice & heavily modded Foresters....but decided it would not be fair to have theirs in the calendar, but would instead be judges (over 75+ multiple entries were submitted). The LOC calendar would be an excellent idea IMO......that's why I posted this idea....so something to keep in mind for 2008........not to mention affordable. B) ;)

The ES300's that call for type IV fluid, either use the Toyota stuff.....or Amsoil synthetic ATF, it is compatible with type IV......I never had any trouble when I put it in my 2001 (but it's not cheap either). ;) Dexron III is pretty much universal & many choices out there.

I wasen't able to get to the theatre to check out the movie when it first came out, but the wife & I rented it over the weekend....I have to say it is by far the best movie I have ever seen from Disney/Pixar! & there are alot of good ones! Had to wipe tears from my eyes several times & Larry The Cable guy (Mater) was just priceless! My Nephew's & Niece are going to be pleased this Christmas & also got a copy for when our little one arrives!
