  1. I would have figured Toyota/Lexus would have changed the filter location on the 3.3L engine......but thanks for the info! B)
  2. Subaru of London is where we are currently have our Subi's serviced & I totally agree......excellent dealer & great people. Anyone else? They don't have the product I am looking for, but I'm more concerned with the service side of the dealer. B)
  3. Going to have to agree with Steve here......hard pressed to find a much more quieter tire than the Michelin.
  4. The 2004 ES 330 comes standard with 215 60 16 tires (to my knowledge, there was no 17" option available on any model ES this year....at least here in Canada). Can anyone tell me if it's possible to put a +0 size tire on the factory alloys (225 60 16) without any problems (plug & play)?
  5. Sonds like it's minor piston slap......agreed, nothing to worry about.
  6. If you get a nice 'charcoal' shade......you will be very impressed & match the colour of yours perfectly. B)
  7. Junk, Buy OEM plugs I plan on it.....was just curious if anyone was running these is all......there is no way I'm spending $25 per plug. I feel sorry for the poor bugger with a Hemi V8 (2 plugs per cylinder!) that wants to run these lol. :whistles:
  8. Is the oil filter on the ES 330 in the same location as the 3rd generation ES (IE: front end of the car, but at a really dumb angle so the oil filter will empty out all over the subframe, or 'threads down' as I guess it is called)?
  9. Anybody here have any experience with these plugs? They go for about $25 a piece! http://www.pulstarplug.com/index.html
  10. They did not come with synthetic from the factory....but I too use only synthetics in my vehicles (moved from Mobil 1 to Amsoil personally which a better product). Perhaps if you can get the service records, that might shed some light on what the previous owner used......but definately go with synthetic & a high quality oil filter when you get the car. B) Not to worry about the TB & WP.......get that out of the way & your good to go for many years. ;)
  11. Does anybody have these on their ride...? http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvproduct...3&Year=2005 Any opinions on them? & finally......does Lexus make their own for this generation of ES or only available as an aftermarket item?
  12. Agreed, a strong battery should have more than enough reserve capacity after 2 weeks+ to start right up, never mind only 5 days. The service manager should not hesitate in replacing this for you. B)
  13. In addition to what amf has mentioned, if you can get the car with all service records that would be a plus. The 1997 - 2001's have an engine gel issue that affects those vehicles that have not been maintained properly. Other than that, these cars are pretty much bullet proof. Good luck.
  14. Nice car!.....here is a link to my 2001 ES (I kinda miss that car lol)... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...hl=Toronto+meet Tint looks awesome (I had the 20% or meduim shade all around). Wheels & tires are a good place to start with your mods as well. B)
  15. Thanks a bunch Steve! B)
  16. Any members have any experience with Lexus of London as far as their service & parts departments are concerned? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. B)
  17. Musky99, What Lexus dealer do you take your ES to for service? Lexus of London? If so, how do you like them?
  18. In city driving, be gentle on the throttle when accelerating from a traffic light.......be easy on the brakes, look far down the road & get into a habit of 'coasting' to red lights. It works wonders. B)
  19. Thanks gbhrps.....I've noticed (as mentioned) on several websites (including fueleconomy.gov) that the 2004 - 2006 ES 330's say only regular unleaded fuel is required.......was just looking for confirmation. What does your 2004 owners manual say about the subject & how many km's per tank are you getting on average? Going to have to respectfully disagree with you however on the synthetic oil opinion. ;)
  20. I've read on several reputable websites that the 2004 - 2006 ES330's require only regular unleaded fuel (compared to the 2002 & 2003's which require premium.....I know my old 2001 ES needed premium). Can anyone confirm this for me? How is it worded in the owners manual?
  21. The ES is built in Kurokawa-gun, Japan.
  22. Happy New Year to all! B)
  23. What type of tranny fluid does the 02 - 06 MY require? Still the same Toyota Type IV stuff?
  24. Better to just find one already so equipped then.....thanks sk.
