  1. Sounds like the throttle body or fuel injectors.......have you had these items serviced recently or since you have had the car? B) IF so, be as specific as you can.
  2. Cool Steve.....I wasen't 100% what the difference(s) were the ones you posted here fit better.......go for it :) B) They will look sharp!
  3. Agreed vb :) ;)
  4. Your welcome! B) Let us know what you decide once your mind is made up. ;)
  5. I can understand maybe a $1000 extra or something but that's it. Same goes if the car is from Hawaii. B)
  6. I had a feeling that the chances of 'getting your foot in the door' are slim to none & slim just left lol. ;) TMMC has my resume online & faxed already on their files. Thanks for the info saint. B) I have the book "The Lexus Story" and they hve several pics of the Cambridge plant & wow does it ever look georgous! I can't wait for the tour on Jan 25th. B)
  7. Exactly, that's why I asked the question. B) ;)
  8. lol.....I thought so. ;)
  9. Doing the speed limit (or as I mentioned slightly over) pretty much guarantees you never have to worry about a speeding ticket....therefore makes the radar detector redundant.......in Ontario, the max speed limit is 100 Km/h....slightly under 60 MPH....which I personally think is way too slow.....so I do 119 max (it's not worth the cops while to pull one over going under 120 km/h - 75 mph here). If one is in hurry, leave a few minutes earlier. ;) Many folks that do have these devices seem to still get pulled over for speeding anyways (not all, but some)...I bet it really peeves these people off 10 fold when they already had this device. :whistles: The law enforcement industry are almost always 2 steps ahead of the companies that make these things & they counter with their 'high tech' devices in return. It would be intresting to know.........to ask say the best 'speed trap' officers what the best product is that is 'fool proof'......I bet he / she will just smile & wink.
  10. I'm finding that hard to believe too sw.
  11. Let's not panic! I work at for Lexus at TMMC, so make sure that you wave at me when you get there. As far as you scheduling plant tours, it is as simple as calling them directly at (519) 653-1111 ext. 2270. YOu don't have to plan it few months in advance. I think that there is a waiting list of about 2-3 weeks. Here is some additional info: http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WW...t160000e%2ehtml Hope it helps. ← That's awesome saint!! Thanks for the link. B) How will we know who you are & a loaded question......how does one get a job there? :D Just courious.....PM me any details if you please. That would be so cool. ;) SK, either e-mail the TMMC address that saint provided OR lexus_feedback@lexus.ca.
  12. SW, your bookmarking weathertech?
  13. I'm not a huge fan of the trunk bar personally Steve (kind of looks too much like the Camry imo).......so I'm leaning towards the side visors. Weathertech has them for $89.95 compared to l-tuned $150.00. B) Any idea what the difference is between the 2 for fit & quality? http://www.weathertech.com/store/vehsearch...opt_choice_id=0
  14. Happy to help ruby. B)
  15. That's definitely not right. Normally it should shift in the range of 2,000 - 2,500 RPM between 1st and 2nd. Tranny fluid should be changed via the "drain-and-fill" method every 30K miles (or if you do a lot of hard/aggressive driving, 15K miles). While you're at it, get the tranny filter and gasket replaced as well. ← Perhaps a 100% fluid change is a wise idea if the tranny filter & gasket are changed......don't you think Doug? B) How many miles on your ES jep?
  16. Does this condition you describe happen when the engine is still fairly cold or does it still happen after you have been driving for 20+ minutes or so? Be as specific as you can gents. B)
  17. Contact the dealer that Unlisted mentioned nick & let us know what the situation is. B) It sounds like this is the dealer that will be able to answer your questions & concerns.
  18. Good to hear silver :D & you are correct, you might need to 'break them in' a little more & they should quiet down. My wife has over 7,000 miles on them now, no sign of wear & are quieter. B)
  19. how can i post on the for sale section. i dont know how? it would not let me ← You need minimum of 20 posts before you can post in the for sale section. I agree with everyone as well......your asking price is way too high. I know the car has very low mileage which is good........but it's wishful thinking. Check with autotrader or Kelly Blue Book for what the 'market' value of a 99 LS is to get a better idea of what it's worth. B) Army, $41,500 for a Chrysler Concorde? Good lord man! what did they charge for 'frieight' or 'destination charge'? $15,000? WOW! :o
  20. Even back in 1990.....those LS 400's were built like bank vaults. B)
  21. SK, did you try & get ahold of Lexus Canada about the Jan 25th plant tour?
  22. Helium is a much smaller atom and much lighter than nitrogen. It will also diffuse faster becasue of it's lighter weight (atom size). This would lead to more rapid tire pressure loss; also helium isn't as inexpensive as nitrogen or compressed air... And, if you've ever breathed in helium, when you speak, your voice sounds like a cartoon character. Maybe your horn would sound weird also. (Ha Ha) ← lol HRP The benefits sound great to using nitrogen instead of compressed air........I just wish it was more readily available as Costco is kind of out of my way to get my tires filled.......it's wise to adjust your air pressure when the tires are cold......by the time I get to Costco.......I will get an inaccurate reading
  23. ruby, I have posted some help for you with the same post in the wheels & tires section. B) silver, how do you feel about your new Falken's? B)
  24. That's very disappointing nicksan........Lexus Canada does not operate that way for their CPO program at all, in fact they even replaced the 'B' pilliar mouldings & the drivers side heated mirror element in addition to making sure all service & maintenance was up to date.....all billed to Lexus Canada! It's not like you asked for the previous owners name, address & shoe size here, you just wanted to know if all service & maintenance was performed in a timely manner.....a simple yes or no answer. Let's put it this way.....you keep all paper work that proves that your ES is in fact a Lexus CPO vehicle......and maintain it according to the owners manual. Should you have any problems let's say with engine gelling......Lexus will have to replace & install a new engine at their expense.....not yours. I suspect you are OK however. If you haven't done so already, I would switch to synthetic oil from now on when doing oil changes. B) I hope you have trouble free service out of your ES, especially considering the low mileage. Don't forget to register your ES online on www.lexus.com so they have the record of you & your ES.
