  1. Keep the Spyder, Store it, Or whatever you have to do to keep it. Get yourself a LS. Nicely said :D
  2. haha what a good and simple idea..good luck with that
  3. I am using a microfiber cloth....can't get much softer....when I went to the dealership the other day, they advised that I not use anything on the dash or side door panels except water....well water just doesn't do much to keep vinyl looking nice....are they just saying that to protect themselves or does water just keep your vinyl clean and conditioned? Thanks Ilia Meguairs is very good, but Lexus dealers use Simonize for exteriors and interiors of vehicles.
  4. Most Lexus' have the HID headlamps but yes youre right, they shine down producing dangerous situations. You either just have to use your highbeams when you can or just drive slower. I have the same problem on my GS, I wouldn't necessarily say its a problem but I know some poeple do.
  5. The Avalon and Camry are both front wheel drives. Also the Acura TL is a front wheel drive. They are alright you kno, you get good traction in the snow, well better than RWD. Also the acceleration and speed are great on the ES i kno its a 3.5 producition i think 267HP, not sure about that number. The top speed is electronically limited to 138mph. Good luck and lemme know what you end up doing.
  6. How could you say some dealers hate the car which you hate. They are just trying to selll cars ahaha. Try selling dirty cars, thatll be easy :)
  7. I dont understand how people can compare the Camry to the ES or IS, I mean comon go drive a Toyota then a Lexus and tell me the rides and quality are the same...NOWAYYY Lexus is silent nothing loose in the car, yea they might be on the same platform and share many qualities but cannot be compared. Thats just my opinion.
  8. That's not a bad price. May only be a couple hundred dollars over invoice. IS250's sell pretty well too so you shouldn't expect to get as low of a price as IS350 i guess, depending on where you live. I live in New England.
  9. Tire life depends on your driving. I will have to change mine when I hit 15K miles, but a buddy of mine still has his runflat Dunlopes still on with 33K miles. Corner hard and be prepared to pay. At least we have fun with our cars :D
  10. Are you sure it doesnt read the name...press the audio button on the nav screen and look it should be there. Also it might be because you are playing a burnt disc. If you get a real CD it will probably pull up the right information. If all else fails bring it to the dealer...you are under factory warranty Hope that helps
  11. Never mind man I saw your other post. That's ridiculous, what a shame. Let me know if theres anything I can do, I truly feel your pain. Will insurance cover it?
  12. One of the most specific changes is the 4.6L engine that the GS460 will have in a couple months. I think that will be worth getting. If you don't mind tell me, what happened to the 450?
  13. Try Stern wheels. They have a few that fit the the AWD models. I'm having trouble finding the rims also with my Is250 AWD. The front calipers hit too. You should definately give eBay a try. What I like to do is go to www.tirerack.com find the right wheels and then search them on eBay.
  14. Guys hope you can help me out... I have a 06 GS that I got new. When I started using the bluetooth it was working fine. My car hit 10,000 miles the other day and now everything im on the phone with someone using bluetooth and I get a second call, my bluetooth disconnects and I lose both phone calls Is anyone having the same problems? Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you
  15. I believe it has to do with putting aftermarket wheels/changing the wheels etc. I had the same problem on my GS but was corrected when I reinstalled the factory wheels for the winter.
  16. I thought they don't make the Mark Levinson sound in the RX???
  17. If you really want to take care of your car you should have everything done at Lexus. For that I'd recommend Herb Chambers Lexus of Norwood! Good luck
  18. Wallet idea is a great one ha. I have heard of many complaints with the RX seats and they just can't seem to make em right. One of the people affected was my father who never bought the car because of the seat. Even though the RX is Lexus' best seller, they should probably change the seats a little bit to have even more sales which = more money B)
  19. This shouldn't be happening to 40-50K$ cars. I hope all of you end up with lemons and receive brand new RX's. Good luck guys make em pay
  20. Thanks Sk, it's been a hobby of mine for the past couple years or so...My goal was to make this car as fast or faster then the new Vette's and or AMG E55's, and I am getting very close... Still considering two more mods.... Mild set of performance cams which would bring an estimated 30-40 gain in horse power...Lextreme.com is currently manufacturing a set or regrind cams for the 400's..and should be available soon for distribution. The cost should be no more then $500-$600 for the set of 4 cams.... The only concern I have about the cams is that the stock rev engine cut off limit could peek and then the fuel feed is cut off by the cars ECU or computer brain....I redline now hard at times while using the nos, and with the addition of performance cams that typically allow the engine to rev even higher then normal, that may cause me problems.....We will see... A shift kit for the stock tranny, not sold on this mod yet, and I don't want to sacrifice the little luxury I have left in this car....Agin we will see... Just for someone whom may consider modifing their SC, money spent to date totals for my car is at $18,000...I originally purchased this 1992 SC400 3 years ago for $8500 with 89,000 miles on it...After all the above mod's, new leather interior, factory quality re-paint job, additional little mods, etc... I am now at $18,000 and that includes the original purchase price......This is not a cheap hobby....but I am not complaining with the results...... What do those shift kids for the stock tranny actually do?
  21. Looks INCREDIBLE!!! How much did you pay and where did you get those?
  22. Very beautiful SC, but if you'd like to up your resale value a bit, I'd suggest installing a spoiler. You can probably do this by yourself and save some money too. Check eBay they should have what you need. Good luck
  23. I'd just uninstall the daytime runners. That's what I did and it looks really nice.
  24. My GS also scratches fairly easily. Just get a clearbra...not only does it keep your car looking nice, it gives you more resale value in the future Good luck
  25. Lease...very smart, just to let you know the residuals are changing for that car this weekend. BTW very nice choice Silver/Black thats what I have and people think i wash my car everyday
