  1. Stuck or broken fan switch?
  2. Ok, I just went thru your pics. Nice meet! Looks like the weather wasn't helping, but you can tell you all had fun anyway. Btw, better get some gas in you car! Did you do the LED gauges yourself?
  3. Yeah, other than the steering wheel being on the wrong side. ;) Nice car club. Looks like a great meet spot! We usually just get together in a big parking lot somewhere.
  4. Actually, over time, the car will learn anyway. It logs your driving habits over a certian amount of time, and makes adjustments accordingly. You can reset the ECU if you want, just disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. Then get in the car and pump the brake pedal 10 times, wait a few more minutes and then recoonect the battery. That will clear the ECU and reset the data logging.
  5. I don't know that I agree with that statement. They are all using a high Silica compound so they maintain a higher performance level across the life of the tire, whereas before, the the tire would be really good for the first quarter of it's life, and then degrade in performance from there. And most all the high performance tires are getting between 18-25k miles on them, depending on how you drive. You are however correct about unsprung weight and trying to minimize those effects. But I think most manufacturers have to make alot of choices for what they think their customers really want. While the 4 lbs. would feel to most drivers as a "smoother" ride, and feel a bit more solid, while lighter tires and rims would react to bumps much more, and transmit more road feel to the driver. While a performance driven customer might want that, the larger customer base might not. So it may also be a design goal to have a slightly heavier tire. I know that Goodyear is using more and more carbon fiber in thier construction and are having some really good results. I'm a Michelin Pilot Sport user myself. I love those tires. But that's a personal preference. The only other thing I could think of would be the sidewall construction and the steel belting. Which is where most of the R&D goes, way more than tread design.
  6. They have a crossover guide on that site. Just enter the stock size bulb and it will tell you on the chart what LED is the replacement for it. http://superbrightleds.com/bulb_cross.htm
  7. Hello. What body kit do you have?
  8. And don't forget it must have director credentials from, say, the likes of Spielberg, or Tarantino! :P J/K Welcome to the LOC :D :D :D Yeah, we wanna see your car in a full out high speed chase. You have to be chased by an alien ship, and your a vampire slayer at the wheel, and your hunting down the 13 people who double crossed you and almost had you killed. They were since rewarded by the vampire nation, and now they are eleveated beings with lots of powers. But you were kidnapped by an alien outlaw who has taught you the ways of the force, and now your back, 10 years later to exact your revenge! You and your alien powered Lexus IS 300 with twin turbo lasers and a menacing attitude. Your grandmother has really been storing the car for you. She only drove it the store once a week while you were gone. But now that your back, you start in thgarage and build the car into the perfect hunting mobile, all the while honing your skills and gathering information. Hahahahahaha!!! That just made my day! What is it with us Floridians? I think we spend too much time in the sun and it bleaches our brains LOL It's our lifestyle.....Can't be helped. :)
  9. Sorry, those rims won't work anyway. those are 4-114.3. You need 5-114. Unless you found a size I'm not seeing.

  11. HI! Actually, we like full color video with sound, proffessionally edited and produced. No hurky jerky hand video stuff! :) But if all you have is pics, then ok. ;)
  12. Yeah, your rear tires are going to rub. You'll need to shave and roll the fenders. The fronts should be ok. Are you on a stock suspension? is the car dropped? how much if it is, or how much do plan on dropping it later? What rims are you looking at?
  13. So, how did you decide the LS would be the front car? LOL!! And is that you with hubbies arms around ya? And another thing, you have a "Lexus first meet", and we get 1 pic? <_< I wanna see what you forigners are up to!! ;)
  14. The link you posted doesn't seem to work. When I click on the video all I get is a short voice interview.
  15. 15 degrees? Damn! Yeah, that's just enouph for the car to start and run, but far enouph off to be crappy everything! And you should know nothing is easy with these cars. Must be like driving a whole new car now! Glad you solved your issue. Although, judging from your signature, I see we will be talking turbos and whatnot as time goes by. LOL!! Hhmm, a Honda guy just bought a Toyota, Ahhem, Lexus...sorry. HHmm, I wonder if there is any meaning behind that? LOL!!!! B) Got any pics to post? I'd like to see your Honda set ups if you don't mind. I allways like seeing what people do with thier set up. Did you build the motors yourself? What components did you use and like? Royal Purple makes good stuff. I use Amsoil, but not because I think it's better, I have just used it for a ton of years, so I stay with what I know.
  16. Yeah, I'm talking with Daniel about the 350 headers. There have been some issues with it. He seemed to think that the specs for the 250 headers would work on the 350. Well, he finally did a dyno on the 350 and saw that there wasn't anywhere near the gain he had with the 250. So he's going to take another look at the primaries and lengthen the headers even more the the 350, which was what he and I talked about a few months ago. Once he works it out and gets the 350 figured out, I may get a set from him then. Right now it's looking like we'll have to relocate the 02 sensor and move the y pipe and maybe come up with a new flange. I don't see any other way at this point. Although I wouldn't mind going with a true dual exhaust system and just set up the cross pipe after the header. But we'll see what he comes up with. Daniel is a great guy, and knows what he's doing.
  17. Which was what I was going to point out if you were just wasting your money on having them chromed. BUt the ceramic coating is a good choice.
  18. That would be the ejector seat button. Make sure you have the sun roof open first. LOL!!!!
  19. Coating? are you having them ceramic coated or chromed?
  20. It's a 2000, with the 4 cylinder 1.9 turbo. The new T5 is 5 cylinder yeah? Didn't Mitsubishi and Volvo design the new one together?
  21. Hmm, well, considering all wheel drive, you have 160 (ish) hp, not bad. Maybe the dyno chart I saw before was a rear wheel drive 250. I can't remeber at this point, or if that point even came up. So, when are you looking to slip the headers and exhaust on and then doing the comparison dyno?
