Same here. You'd probably not think so because I'm tall and thin, 6'6" and 215 lbs. Cooking is another love of mine, last night I made surf & turf (steak and lobster). Impression--------->First That just means you get to eat more without worrying! MMMmmm, Steak and Lobster. That's quite posch for hard times such as these! :P Thats a good way to look at it :D I've started working out again so I need to eat a lot to pack on the muscle. It was supposed to be a nice gourmet dinner with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes from scratch for my partner and me, but that motherfu***r decided to go get hammered instead. He came home and passed out. In his defense, he did get laid off yesterday so I'll go easy on him. :D The lobster was free, shrimp and lobster is one of my parents businesses, so when mom comes to visit she always brings boxes of seafood for us. Insomnia--------->Ambien If he didn't know you were planning that, then ok, but if he knew and did that anyway, then make sure you make him aware that wasn't nice! It sounds like you worked hard also. And he could have gotten hammered with you! Ambien-----> Qualudes

Charlie's on Orange Blossom Trail with the 50 year old citrus grill is awsome!! I love thier Porterhouse there!! I also like Fish Bones, which is the same owner. I think they are ranked 2 or 3 in the country. In fact, it's second. There is a steak house in Chicago I think that holds the number one rank. Or was that New York? I'm not sure. Last-----> line

Only if you'll agree to put " Brownies Septic Services" in big Yellow and brown letters on your hood, and a phone number.

I still like the stock nav better. :P

Hmm, I'll have to get Flop 170 here, he has the manual. I would just ask him. But I have never heard someone come out and complain about the manual transmission being noisy or notchy.

Welcome to the LOC! Hmm, I haven't heard of the bad shifting issue? What are you referring to specifically? As far as the car itself goes, it's a great car. I had an RX-7 also. Yeah, your gonna be very happy with the IS 300! I have a thread here that logs from new purchase to full turbo as a sticky at the top of this forum. It should answer any questions you might have. And feel free to ask if it doesn't. It's the Modifying an IS 300 Chronicles of a dream ride. Also, the 2000-2002 is slightly different than the 2003-2005 models. Most notably the materials they used for the dash. In 2003, they added the center arm rest to the console, and in 2004 they added memory seats, flip up compartment on the dash instead of the dash tray, and a few other minor changes. So, if you can, get the 2003. But if it's price, then the 2000-2002 models are still great mechanically, and functionally.

I wanted the G-Spyders, but the price seemed just a bit out of line. -
I would go with the Sony. I just have had alot of good experience with them. And a proven track record is always something to count. The Acer sounds nice, but I don't know alot about that company. And if I remember right, Circuit City said the same thing about Gold Star televisions and Onkio stereo equipment. A freind of mine just got the HP from Best Buy. I played with it for a little bit. Looks great, I like the design he picked. everything seemed great, and he said it had the new Ram that will easily support Vista. But I think he had XP on it. I don't think you would not be happy with either of those.

attached is a picture from the Lexus website of the 18" rims ... my 17" have 10 spokes, while - if i can count right - the 18" have 15 spokes! i personally like the 18"s for its darker shade ... anyway i can change the colors besides having to spray paint them? B) well, attached is a picture of what is printed on the side of my tire: and here is a pic of the 10 spoke rim: those definately 18's yes? -
Yeah, the vettes have allways been nice. Although the late 80's was a very tough time for the vette, I'm glad they have turned it around and put it back in the line where it should be. My only problem with the car is it's too focused and too small, which means it could only ever be a toy car in my garage.

I know that was a repeat, but it was steak!, and deserved 2 posts. LOL! Deed

Well, I just went into the garage to double check, I have an 08, and the spokes are the same, my finish is the darker silver, but they are the same pattern and mine are definately 18's. So maybe they make the same spoke pattern in both 17 and 18's. The only way to settle that is to get a close up pic of it and see. -
You get a year free with many of the Garmin units... After that you have a choice of $129 lifetime or $50 per year. Considering Lexus gets $300 a year just for new maps (that's $75 per year with Garmin) it's yet another area the OEM unit sucks. In your opinion. I'm pretty sure it's not an opinion that $75 is less than $300. I'd even go out on a limb and suggest it's not opinion that $75 plus $129 is still less than $300 :P And so, of course, even if you only update the maps once EVER (and I'd suggest a lot of people would benefit from doing it more often... I live in a metro area with a lot of Lexus drivers and a LOT of new construction too, and I'm sure I'm not alone) you're still saving some additional money on top of the several grand you saved in the first place going aftermarket. Ok, I'm not trying to be a smarty here, but do you use that logic on all purchases or just certian ones? We are talking about the purchase of a 40K dollar car here right? See Knightshade, I'm not faulting your logic, I am pointing out that it's not about need, or good logic, it's about ease and desire. If we all used the logic you just set fourth as gospel, then none of us could even justify buying a luxury car at all! Because you can have all the feature you want and get great gas mileage in a Kia and save thousands that way! And if you wanted to be so uptight about the costs, then why did you even waste 300 bucks on a Tom Tom. They have it on your cell phones now also. That you carry already. and you don't need another peice of equipment. And then you'll have bluetooth, music, the ever so useful calender, and a built in calculator too! :P Bet your Tom Tom doesn't have one of those!

Can you post a pic of the scratches so we can see what your talking about? If indeed they are light scratches, then it could be an easy fix, all the way to deep to the metal, No you have to take that to a pro and have them fix that for you.

Oh, and Joseph, Bartkat posted the owners manual here at the top as a sticky. If you need to look at the owners manual, just go there. From what I have seen, it's the complete manual.

Anyone Tried Drifting In The Is 250?
smooth1 replied to rishithen7's topic in 07 - 13 Lexus IS250 / IS350 / IS-F
We're just trying to help keep the kid out of trouble. He's already decided drifting isn't for him. I see nothing wrong with a little frivolity along the way. Even us stodgy old farts need a little fun now and then too. :) Yeah, you know us "stodgy old farts!" We need to stretch our legs once in awhile!
