Hi Tom Any file with a space in the file name will not interprate properly. if you have a file that has spaces in the file name then you will to either rename or place %20 in the gaps (%20 interprates a space in the browser) I will have a go at fixing it for you.

Hi Lady Lex.. Welcome to Lexus OC The picture of the orange car usually means there is a fault with the lights.. ie bulb has gone etc. Now with the problems you have I am wondering if it is a earthing problem you have. One way to see is to start the car.. then press the brake pedal and ask someone to see if the brake lights are working correctly. If all the other rear lights come on with the brake lights then it sounds like an earthing problem. (ie. indicators and reversing lights) If the brake lights are normal then I am not sure what the problem is.. but my suggestion is worth a try... this way you can sometime diagnose it. Good Luck! :)

At last I have made some mods and ripped all of the old factory unit out and replaced it with aftermarket. I am soooo pleased i done this. Here is a pic of the head unit wih the Auto Toys face plate.. very good too http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES-300/headunit Here is a pic of the Alpine 5 Channel Amp.. very nice indeed! This back box was built in so the amp could be screwed properly. http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES-300/amp Here is a pic of the amp and the sub.. the sub is in a temporary box whilst i wait for a custom box to be made so i can shoot the sub through the rear ski hatch For now i have this pointing upwards. http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES-300/ampandsub Here are the pics of the 6 by 9's in the rear.. I chose MB Quartz speakers which are very good quality... superb sound.. bear in mind I have replaced every speaker in the car with MB Quartz.. even the door tweeters http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES-300/speakers I Also had the old amp ripped out and in its place is all the components and circuitry for the speakers. Ie cross over stuff. The whole car was rewired with top quality cable.. I will take more pics of the new sub and some of the wiring very shortly. I am very happy with it so far.. the sound is very good. To see how i removed the stereo go here; http://www.lexusownersclub.com/us/forums/i...ct=ST&f=14&t=21

I was told on CL that the later version was RWD Someone was lying :(
-
Dont get snow here.. very rare... so I have never got to test it out.. but considering the Early ES300 was FWD i guess it would be alot easier to drive in the snow. I have tested ABS on ice and wow you can hear those brakes judder and soon brings the car to a halt!

The reason I have not enabled the pictures to show in the thread was for bandwidth reasons of both parties.... If a member has a 56k modem he is really going to struggle veiwing the thread... and not only that it saves our costs later on. You can of course still link from outside sources and even relink the attachment to show the pic in full.

Hi Over the next few weeks there will be some massive changes to this website. These forums will be changed to much better software and if I remember to enable the uploading of images (please remind me) then this feature will soon happen. After a few good comments I have decided that this section (US) should be pushed further. A Proposed plan will be available soon. Please keep adding the ideas and we will try our best to work on these. Steve

Hi guys Good to see you here... I am looking for some organisers here to help push this club. At the moment we have a couple of members helping out (thankz guys) and we are looking for a few more to help push the club. If I can see a good potential in this side of the Lexus Owners Club then I will start building a bigger community. Like the Uk site we have created a monster that is growing reapidly and we have alot of respect from Lexus and all the dealers. I would like the US section (which is here) to become as good or even better (due to car sales comparison) than the UK club. if anyone is serious in helping out in a committee style then please let me know and I will have a chat with you. Also I am looking to create a vacation for a load of UK members in Orlando and would like to have a joint meet! Maybe you guys can come down to Florida for a vacation too! Show us your rides! Thanks guys! -
I agree with mat... We do have plans for a dedicated forums for Australia/New zealand. At the moment we are upgrading all of our services to cope with the demand on our Euro site. As soon as we upgrade and move all our forums, sync them all .. then I shall be creating a new set of forums. It would be hard for us to measure the response unless we try it.

I got some feedback from members and one saved £1500.. thats over 2k USD... all whithin 6 months. I guess I would see a different reaction if I had a list in front of me

I need more reactions for me to do more magic

What would members say to 15% discount from their Lexus dealer? Please let me know!
-
hey.. what happened? Glad to hear your ok!
-
how misreable no one can say hi!
-
Your best using a high quality oil.. something like Castrol Part synthetic I would never use Mineral in my car again as it does not provide enough protection In the UK here I use Castrol Magnetec 10W 40 Try and find something part synthetic with a good quality name Some people will say it comes from the same hole.. but may not be as well refined as castrol.

thats will be great.. I will create a section for you. Meets are quite easy... if you set up a meet I will set up a registration form for you.. then you will get all the registrations by mail.. then you will know the numbers. take a look in the main forums for a "Club Meets and Events" category Thanks Steve

sounds great to me.. my main business is based in orlando I can provide accommodation in some villas or condos
-
Basically we need to secure deals with vendors who are willing to offer 10% or more discount. In return we will provide a link from our site for as long as they offer the deal. In the Uk we have quite a few Lexus Dealers offering discounts. If you know any vendors and service providers willing to offer discount then please email me at steve@teamlexus.co.uk We will need Company NAme Contact Name Contact Telephone Contact Email Description of service Actual Dicount these deals need to be emailed to me and not posted publicly. Thanks

I have been thinking of setting up a club meets category in the forum. If a couple of people could take time and arrange a few meets a year I will be prepared to help out with the marketing of the meet... even fund some car club stickers to hand out and a large banner. Email me: Steve@lexusownersclub.com

would you guys like me to set up a meets forum? If you guys can arrange it I will let you guys have whatever you need on the website. Even a newsletter... Please contact me through email.
