  1. LIke I said before... say away from Tein!!
  2. That's a good idea, to check the fuse, let us know if it works. I know many manufactures don't let safety codes erase w/o dealer computer, but it may work.
  3. Mighty wise words for the honorable AWJ... HAHA :-)
  4. did it on a JZA70, which is basically the same car. We put a 1JZ in this car and did the trans swap at the same time. Not sure on price, since we bought the whole clip so everything came with it. but the clip was $2500
  5. Some one said that signal has them? Maybe I should call them... Does anyone have a pic?
  6. JIC is ok too, what is great about them is that they have everything in stock and very quick to get. As for Tein, they are mostly for the civic or small compact vehicle and most people still don't like them that much. We own a shop here and even my reps (all from Japan) from other companies say don't buy tein. Here are the list of good companies, Kei-office, Apex (Not WS), HKS, Cusco. By the way, my suspension came with 20kg Front & 16kg Rear spring rates due to the very heavy weight of the vehicle. See what Tein offers.
  7. Some people do the turbo head, but you can even use just a thicker head gasket to lower the compression ratio, but it could never be like the real thing.
  8. Well you will need: clutch, trans, pedal assem, flywheel, master cyl, slave cyl, ecu, maybe wiring harnes. Takes about a couple days to do. Did it in a friends car. :-)
  9. I hope you are not doing it yourself if you are asking this question. STAY AWAY!!! btw, if you are performance thinking, go with the greddy belt.
  10. I am working the the 1JZ swap now. We went with a clip, since you get the crossmemeber that someone was talking about. However the engine going in is not the problem, the problem is dealing with the wiring, especially if you are going manual. My car is a manual, but the clips out there are mostly automatic. That was the biggest pain. I will let you all know when it is done.
  11. If you removed your cluster and turn on the vehicle the light turns on. You have to have the dealer reset it for you.
  12. I'm up for one too. I'm in Westminster, just let me know where.
  13. I just got my LSD, I will take pics to show the install and let you know how easy or not it is...
  14. I need those CF doors!! I should have someone make them
  15. I just ordered a cusco LSD, I will let you know how that goes if you like.
