  1. i sanded it down and put dielectric grease and put it back in. problem still exists. any more help would be really appreciated. i never ran into a problem like this one before.
  2. abs sensors are expensive.. i hope it's not busted. if it is busted...the shop is totally responsible for it.
  3. yeah..toyota is known for it's reliability. it's the 2nd largest auto manufacturer in the world. number 1 is GM. you gotta see those earlier toyota commercials..they are always talking about the reliability of toyotas. have you seen one this one? there's this super hot girl on the side of the road with her broken down toyota (desert setting, nothing around for miles). two dudes are drivng by her, they are both thinking of stopping their car to help the girl..then they see the toyota sign. THey punch gas and they say "it's toyota, it doesn't break down" and soon after this moment, the hot girl turns into a devil.
  4. thanks guys. i will go check the connection points.
  5. nothing wrong with engine with lot of miles. considering i got 260 000 miles out of a 300zx twinturbo running at 450RWHP. and that was only a nissan. (and it got killed from an accident, engine still turned over)
  6. headlights phillips 9006 HID that's what i have..it's awesome. get generic strut bar. it's basically the same thing..i got mine for 20 bucks shipped.
  7. i just replaced it with the brand new one. problem still exists...help?
  8. for the past few weeks i've been here. i found out our alarm/keyless entry is so expensive. why not just pull the whole thing out, and use VIper alarm system? it's only like 100 bucks..and another 100 to have it installed..
  9. if you do any mods, think of the time when you will sell the vehicle. having an exhaust on the lexus might be one thing that you will turn buyers away when you really need to sell the vehicle. if you want mods, do simple stuff you can remove without much hard work..like wheels, strut bar, HID, sound system..so forth.. just my 2 cents.
  10. i totally agree with you. parents are should be blamed for not raising their kids right. it's their job to teach them what's right and what's wrong.
  11. can it also be faulty PTU connections or maybe IAA unit?
  12. aftermarket exhaust is so lighter compare to OEM ones... but what's your reason behind it? for sound...don't get it for performance...actual HP gain..don't get it for replacement of defective..yes..by all means..
  13. Okay..last night, i put back the right original 9006 bulb. blinker problem still exist. i checked every single bulb..including all interior ones..they are fine. all fuses, relays are fine too. right signal clicks at normal rate, left signal clicks faster if i press the hazard light..both light blinks at normal rate. Does anyone have this kind of problem on their es300? Personally, i bought a lexus to avoid little problems like this, but so far, lexus is not being nice to me.
  14. stock brakes calipers usually work with performance rotors (from previous experiences) but they also have upgraded brakes & rotors sets.
  15. good thinking. you are so lucky that you didn't get injured or killed anyone. 4 of my close friends are charged with 2nd degree murder b/c they did something stupid. almost like what you did, except it was a dangerous road and he knocked off a minivan off a 40feet cliff, killing the whole family. i've taken a defense driving course when i was younger, it's a real good class.
  16. exactly the same probl i ran into. i bought a car without a cd changer. these things are so expensive..it comes out cheaper buying an alpine cd player & Mp3 6 disc cd changer. that's what i am about to do.
  17. Es300 is not exactly a car that can go fast and take turns at crazy speeds. in my opinion..es300 handles worse than honda civics.
  18. probably a worned out syncro in 1st and 2nd gear...from my understanding. ect power doesn't do much for me either and i have a mint tranny. it gives me quicker response and i can feel it slightly. but that's basically it.
  19. can anyone list step by step procedure for it?
  20. well, i am sure many of us did bad things when we were little. but i always grew up with outmost respect for cars. My dad taught me a good lesson when i sat on the hood of his 66 corvette when i was 10 years old. hehe. since then, i just became a bully and beat local kids around..but never touched any cars.
  21. i thought they actually help with the braking. i've heard dimpled ones are better b/c cross drilld ones crack when you hit cold water. on ebay, they have a pair for 190 bucks
  22. but of course...it doesn't fit. i want to see some pic of 19s at least.
  23. i want to get bigger rims sometime.. it would be great if i can run 245/40/20s hmmm..my fav tire size...
