today im at a light and my radar detector started going on and off. also the lights in my cluster went dim. im on the highway i would apply the brakes and i notice the headlights would go dim along with instrument lights in the car. they would flicker when i put the signal light on. this is my third alternator in 2 years. i checked the fuse for the alt and its fine. i need some input please.

now if i were to change the wheel bearings what would that run as far as price goes?

i have a 94 sc400. since i got the car i've been changing my own brake pads. i've had the car for three years now. after the third time of me changing my pads, i started to feel shaking when i brake mostly on the highway. now when i brake, whats starts shaking is the steering wheel and the shifter. i figured the rotors are warped so i put new ones cause i couldn't cut the original ones. also i got new pads.(ebc green stuff) so, i replaced the two front rotors and pads. i took it out on a test drive and still the same shaking. can it be that i tightened them up unevenly so thats the reason. i help my fellow sc owners. :cries:

i used vht caliper paint. i put about for coats and still to this day they look great. no chip and wheel cleaner don't even hurt it. i did mine about 8 months ago and they still look like i did it yesterday. oh yeah make sure you clen surface real good before applying.

where can i get eyelids for a 94 pearl white sc400? is there a website to purchase them and how much do they go for?

how can you rewire the foglights so that they turn on with the headlight and stay on not just only when you use your turn signals?

try some #00 steel wool and glass cleaner. don't worry if you get #00 steel wool it won't scrtach up your windows. it should handle the sticky residue on the windows.

no thats it. just put them speakers in. even after i put them in the radio worked then a week later out.

i did. i disconnected the new speakers and when i put in a new fuse it still blew out.

i went to turn on the radio one day and it didn't turn on. theres no power going through the radio and cd changer. i checked the fuse and the fuse was blown. i put a new fuse in and the moment i put it in it blew out right away. i put two new rear speakers in but i don't think that could be it becasue they wotked fine then a week later i had the problem. does anybody have anything in mind? i hate driving with no radio. oh yeah i got a 94 sc400

the dye will start coming off when you clean it with cleaners and just from sitting on it after awhile. so whatever color it was underneath, it would come back on some spots. then it would look bad especially if the previous color was purple or black.

mines pearl white. i love pearl white cars, although i also have a burgandy lincoln ls. looking to trade in for m3. :D still keep the sc400 of course. just can't let her go.

my front rotors where vibrating real bad so i just bought new ones and new brake pads. ebc green stuff and just regular rotors. they were good for a little bit but now its coming back again. how do you keep rotors from warping?

yeah, all that will happen is you wiil lose the radio station settings and you would just have to set your clock.

well, p/s pump cost 450 at lexus not including the labor. but you can get a remanufactored oem pump at a parts store for cheaper. the car has 160k on it and if it needs a p/s pump and a tune up. damn. i think 4g's is a little too much. i think a full tune at lexus is like $1200 thats not including the timing belt. i would offer $3000. i detailed a 96 sc400 from a very well reputable dealer with a 161k on it the they sold at the auction for 6 grand. and that car was mint. leather and all. i was shocked. didnt like color though. your looking at a car thats 4 years older. its a 300 not a 400. and it probably needs a major tune up and a p/s pump. make sure theres no paint work. just because theres no records of repair doesnt mean that there was no damage done. i got into a car accident with my sc400. had 12 grand in damage and theres no record of that anywhere. trust me i searched. just becareful with what you buy and good luck. keep us posted
