the pump is about 2 years old maybe a little less. i didnt notice any leaks. someone told me that it caould be the steering rack. can that be true?

no didnt work. is there any other ideas?

the powersteering pump is making noise like its low on fluid. so i opened the litle resevior cap and noticed it a little low. so i put fluid in there but its still making that noise. i havent noticed any leaks

no one has any idea?

i figured id post this even though this is a lexus site. today i went to work and we have a 2003 camry there with a dead battery. we use a jump box everytime we start it. well today my boss told me to jump to take it out of the shop. with a million things going through my head like the accident i had with my sc400 yesterday i didnt realize that i put the positive on the negative and the negative on the positive. the horn started going off and there was a spark. we checked the fuses because there was no power. my boss replaced the fuses and put a new battery but still couldnt start the car. the windows, power seats, taillights, and radio dont work. what kind of damage could i have done? please dont add insult to injury. thanks for any replies

ignition coil it was sorry it took me this long to reply back but i was out of town for a bit. i greatly appreciate all the help you guys gave me

i took it to the shop and the guy told me that it was the cats. i asked him if he check the cap, ignition coils, etc. he said that they are all fine. the cats are clogged up and because of back pressure the fuel is not burning right.

i found where the other coil is. how would i go about taking off the one to the right the four little screws faces the block. i pushed the recirculate button and the auto button to do that diagnostic and the codes came up 21 and 23. dooes anybody know what those are?

i couldnt find the other ignition coil. i remeber a forum awhile ago about codes showing on the temp display. maybe that would be easier to figure out the problem. if not can i still know how to do it?

is that the only one. the number of ignition coils. is it easy to get to without taking all that stuff off?

where can i go online to see how to do it and where the ignition coils are located? theres only 2 ignition coils?

how do i look if the coil is bad?

cant seem the find the distributer cap. where is it located?

before leaving work i warm up the car for about 10 to 15 min because of how cold it is. when i went to get in the car it was all smokey in there. i started to panic and popped the hood. couldnt see anything but it was smoking. so i looked underneath the car and i saw that the cats were glowing red. i shut the car off. let it cool down and was going to drive to the mechanic right down the street. when i started moving the car it had no power, felt like it had 5 horsepower. what can it be? thanks for any replies

actually thats only one side. should i tighten the axle nut?

shopuld i tighten the nut? how much can it all cost from a mechanic? i got a price of 220 just to replace the bearings. is that a good price?

if i were to put one hand on top and the other on the bottom i can feel play in the wheel. should that explain the axle nut being loose?

i did and the nosie got a little worse

when i felt that i had a little play with the wheel i took it off along with the caliper and rotor. i turn the akle nut to the right and it was a little loose. now am i making the right diagnosis here with the nosie and all? i took it to a mechanic and he said because of the play in the wheel and noise that its the bearings.

is it hard to diy? how should i go about doing it? is there a site that i can go on to see how to do it?

when im driving i hear a squeeking noise coming from the passenger rear wheel. at times while im slowing down to a stop i hear like a metal grinding noise. i shook the wheel and theres a little bit of play in it. how can you tell if its the hub bearings. would i be able to do it myself or should i have a mechanic do it? how much would it cost to have a mechanic do it? thanks for any replies

my emergency brakelight comes on when i accelerate or brake. what can i do to get rid of that. do i need to adjust the cable?

well that metal rubbing noise went away but now when im going reverse and turning i hear a creeking noise in the back passenger wheel. does anybody know what it could be thanks for any replies
