Myself.... I'm 32... IT Geek... and Country Boy from Texas/Oklahoma stuck up in Central Massachusetts... No wife and kids... (the reason I'm able to have toys)... Only car I have is the IS350.. But looking for a older Pathfinder or 4Runner for the snowy days and fun summer days for bikes/kayak... Might be looking for a boat if it doesn STOP RAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW... is this a support group for "Lead Foot Disorder!?" For some reason when I get in my IS... my right foot seems to gain 200lbs!????

Yes... I'll be taking up a part time job at the local 7/11 just to pay for the gas myself.... But... IT WILL STILL BE WORTH IT!!!! This car is a BLAST!!!! Only thing I've found that bugs me.... and its only a small thing.... but the "Current MPG" meter.... Its useless!!!! Why do they need a 0-90 for!????? a 0-35 with more detail would be more helpful... but a 0___30___60___90 !??????? Thanks for the thought Lexus... but I would rather have something more like 0__15__30__45 or even better.... 0__10__15__20__25__30

yup.. its like flying a fighter jet!!! Every time I fill up.. I tell myself that I'm going to just pamper this tank and see what I can get.... Then a friend wants to take it for a ride.... :whistles: we have a rail yard that is approx. 1.5 mile long that is nice and paved..... well.. the car has seen the "red" ring lots of times but has only seen 130.... Do you do Hwy or city driving?

Fuel Economy I now have close to 2300 miles on my IS350... I do mostly city driving so I didn't expect "GREAT" MPG.... But my last tank had a average of only 13mpg!????? are you kidding me!??? The overall MPG is only 18.2... OUCH... I do have a heavy foot on the on ramp.... but I've settled down the past 1000 miles.... Just paid $3.21 for 93 Super... Anyone else seen averages in the 22-25s????

and I would bet that once those kids grew up and have to start paying there own bills... that they wouldnt also... ;)

What I don't understand is... being the 350 is a 4 wheel braking system.... why is it just the front wheels that has brake dust? Yesterday when I was cleaning the wheels... I noticed the front is bad... and the rear didn't have any black what so ever? The reason is, the front brakes work harder than the rear. That's how they are designed. You need more stopping power in front than the back. About how many miles did you drive before you saw noticeable brake dust in the fronts? Not sure... its the next day.... It only gets in the pits of the wheels... a real pain in the !Removed!...

I played with the Parking Assist on the IS 250 I test drove and found it to be a waste of time. I think it would be nice to know when I'm 6 inches away from a wall in a parking garage but I'm not that person who cannot parallel park either. I found the option to be less than user friendly and when I shared my opinion with the Sales Manager, she said that most agree with me and the '06 model is the first and last IS model to offer it. It wont be available in '07. I believe the Backup Camera will remain an option though. I cant see them doing away with the rear parking assist also... I bet that Salesman was just playing your cords! I would like to see this on my next IS (IS500 I hope.. :) )

Or could it be the FORD badge on the rear? ;)

When trying to set up the parking assist... it allows you to select the distance for the rear... but not the front?? Also the only time the front comes on is when I'm only 1" away from the obj. in front of me... and then its only yellow and not red.. Is this normal???

I called around from Texas all the way here to Mass.... Most dealers wouldnt even talk to you unless you wanted to put a deposit down and wait 3+ months along with paying MSRP... Then I called Balise in West Spring Field... Told her what I was looking for and without even asking she said no problem and "of course we would work with you on the price with about $2k off msrp"... Only issue I found... NO ML IN NEW ENGLAND.....

They are not "Cooled".. being they don't have a A/C on them... but they are heated/ventilated and yes... they work great!!! When wearing a suit... I sweat a ton! not with the ventilated seats... I have the Luxury Package w/ headlamp washers, Nav and parking assist.... only thing I wasn't able to get was the ML.. :(

Thanks for your quick response... What do your prefer to use? Also do you spray it on the towl or the car? or just follow the directions on the bottle? SW03ES.. Are you saying more then a day when using the Car Duster or the spray?

How do I like it!???????? Lets just say that I go to be with a smile every night... and when I wake up to use the bathroom.. I have to look out the window to make sure I wasn't dreaming.. also the only problem I have is the MPG... Right now my average is 19.5.... On the Interstate the other day for a 2 hour drive.... I hit "28" for a tank average for approx. 10 miles... overall drive was around 27.5... But if your putting any pressure on the peddle... watch out... it doesn't drink the gas... it GUZZLES IT!!! and when you go out to pick up a pack of gum or a bottle of water just so you can drive her... well.. lets just say your become very close to the gas pump! :) Oh... and if your like me... and hate drawing attention to yourself.... well don't get the IS!! People just stare and point....

My Black IS350 seems to be a dust magnet! Its starting to drive me crazy... I can wash the car in the morning... and then by the end of the day it looks like I drove it down a dirt road! Question I have is.... Is there anyway to "dust" the car? Could I just use a towel or would it scratch the paint?
