Well I bought my wife an Ipod Nano...if I can find the thing I will see if it works via the USB for you! Can't promise you anything because I honestly don't think she knows where it is...I will look around for you when I get home.

Welcome to the club! I love my GX460...as far as the Ipod...not sure I know my i phone works well playing songs. The shuffle can't work via bluetooth can it? I usually connect my iphone that way and play the songs that way vs the USB unless I need to charge the battery. Good luck with it.

Try the steps below...I have not had to do it my self but these are the steps to do it. And find another mechanic. If they can't or don't want to reset it...IMHO they shouldn't be working on the car. My independent that works on the BMW resets the codes for me. 1.1 Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Press the odometer button repeatedly until the main odometer reading is shown. 2.2 Turn the ignition switch off. 3.3 Press and hold the "ODO/TRIP" reset button. 4.4 Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. 5.5 Release the "ODO/TRIP" reset button after the odometer display changes to "000000" and then turns off. 6.6 Turn the ignition switch off.

I think it can be reset by holding the trip/odm button while hitting the start button 1x. I used to do it when i got the fluids changed in my rx330 but that had a key i think it is the same just hold the trip bitton down and hit start one time an wait a few secs and it ahould reset if not I am sure someone will chime in.

I have never gotten a fill up for any warranty work? :(

It is not bad if you can live with it...maybe you will be able to get it better. The touch up paint needs to dry for a day or so. Build the layers up and then sand it down. That is my problem I am not patient enough for that either. I did the same thing with the chip I put in the back of my Harley. I would glob the paint in and think it would fill…learned a lesson. Take your time and thin layers…used the hair dryer trick too. I don’t think the hair dryer is fully drying the paint but it sure helps it. I still say find a pro that fixes dings and scratches and he can have it fixed so you will not even know it was there for a few hundred dollars... But your fix is better than nothing for sure!

There are some kits that you can purchase that will override they lock out, as far as a way to do it in the service menu I havent heard of anything that works. I agree that you should be able to use the features on the move too but I don't think it's going to happen. My BMW you can do anything you want when driving...however I like my nav in the Lexus better than the BMW and I have used the new BMW nav systems with I drive and I still like the Lexus system better. I guess if you want to use it that bad then get one of the systems installed to override it...

Compass

Call a couple of good preowned dealerships and see who they use for their scrapes and door dings. Many of them have someone come up at least one day a week and do minor work on the cars. I refer quite a few people who have had their "wives" scratch up their cars to different ones. Its funny just had a guy call me his wife did the same thing with his Yukon. I don't think that you will be happy touching it up yourself. If you are going to do it yourself my only advice is to take your time and apply thin coats and build the paint up and don't try to glob it in there to fill the scrape. I have a small spot on the back of my Harley that I scraped...I mean my "wife" scraped... :) I have touched up and most people don't even know it has been touched up but it drives me nuts. I will at some point get it done right. Good luck!

Your car has a ghost in it! :) No, that's strange. Wonder if it was just a glitch sometimes my cable tv does that. Comes on fine but for whatever reason no sounds on any Chanel. Turn it off and back on and it is fine and it might be 6 days or 6 months before it will happen again.
