  1. '06 and later. bluetooth phone, aux port in armrest for iPod.
  2. Make sure it has had ALL TSIBs carried out on it BEFORE purchase as some are time limited!!! And get a two year extended warranty if purchasing from a Lexus Dealer. Of course check the maintenance schedule for what needs to be changed/replaced as well!
  3. In my experience my winter tires are noticeable quieter than my summer tires,...you need a soft compound tire to make it quiet and make sure the alignment is spot on too.
  4. Take your car to Rick at Aussie Auto,...he'll take care of you. http://www.aussieauto.ca/
  5. 20" rims on an IS250,....you're kidding right?! If you are intent on that SUV look, with the brakes looking totally out of proportion with the weels, then yes it should fit depending on off set and tire profile. Do a search over at the 2nd gen Clublexus forums there should be lots of examples. 19" would be the max recommendation.
  6. Yep,...same here. I put in a fresh set of low dust pads myself last year,...no squealing :)
  7. That was very bad service and advice,... :( No, the front brakes on the IS are NOT a bad design. However, there was a recall for the rear brakes seazing and they are covered. If your brakes were not squealing before the change to the low dust pads, then they were not installed following correct procedures. i.e. new shims and fresh lube. Try this. find a remote road safe from traffic and accelerate to about 60 mph and apply the brakes hard but DO NOT come to a complete stop, keep driving. Repeat this three times, 60 mph, heavy braking, no stopping,...keeep moving. then drive the car normally to allow the brakes to cool down. Once you've completed these steps see if the brakes still squeal? If they do,...order neww shims from Sewell Lexus,...or take it there if it's not too far away for service.
  8. You can try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes or use a code reader. where ar eyou located?
  9. By the time the temp gauge is past the first four bars it should be up to temp and shift.
  10. I would just disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and reconnect it, see if it clears. You may have to reinitialize all your NAV and power windows after,...individually.
  11. Gawd,...they are clueless! The car can store two sets of TMPS, you have to use the control to the left of the steering wheel below the instrument cluster to select which set to use! The bigger issue is if they erased the original set without writing down the numbers you will have to tear apart the wheels/tires to get them :( Next time try Bullock City in Markham or Aussie Auto in Mississauga before going to CT for your Lexus needs :)
  12. If only the bumper got clipped off, just replace the bumper. Or, if you liked the IS250 you had get another one or an IS350 instead since the come RWD and AWD now.
  13. Take it to the dealer if it is still under power train warranty as it is covered under a TSIB.
  14. :) It's actually a very old document from the Clublexus forum, way back when we first got our IS cars. It's good to see Lexus actually make some of these functions available to owners in the new NAV units,...about time.
  15. Some of the LPS items do require a computer hook up, obviously not the door looks on the older IS. Lexus Personalisation Settings REV.pdf
  16. No LPS changes can be made in the NAV on IS models before 2010 IIRC. Only the next gen NAV units have this ability,...previous models require a dealer visit.
  17. The reason LEXUS set the open door function this way was for personal safety,...as in underground parking/parking lots. And yes, you are entitled to ONE customized settings change free of change on a new vehicle, so make sure you have all your changes ready.
  18. Haven't seen any updates, but I would replace the other three plugs first.
  19. The only thing I would say is DO NOT DRIVER AT A FIXED SPEED! i.e. NO CRUISE for at least the first 500 miles. Other wise, once it is fully warmed up drive it as you would any other car.
  20. You have to adjust the instrument lighting control lower to restore the day/night mode on the NAV.
  21. As far as the low tire pressure warning; read the owner's manual on initializing the tire pressure warning system and first inflate all tires to at least the recommended pressures on the driver's side door pillar.
  22. Yes there is a TSIB for "possible" oil leak from the passenger side of the engine front area.
