ok so since i don't have my car to give a better description, i'm doing by memory... so it may be a little "foggy" ;) when i was on the ground one day figuring out wtf was wrong with the headlights (fixed) i noticed that my fog lights looked really..well..i guess i'd describe it as GROSS...i guess since the lights are low to the ground they just get dirty? i dunno if it is on the inside or the outside of the lense...so i guess what i want to know is, wtf do i do if it IS on the inside?

on that note, i accidently drove my temp car from my school to the house in 2nd gear...wondered why it felt so weird, thought i had broken the car... my bad ;) what are the "rules" about OD, 2 and L?

what is the name of the exterior color??? it looks mighty purdy, and i do LOOOOVEEEE that color...minus the lights of course ;) i always thought those lights were scarey. can i kidnap your car? im sure it would love me just as much as i do it....mmmmmmmm...

im a college student who just completely moved out of the parent's house ;) and got her first car. planning on moving back to the nc mountains next fall. as for work, i work for a real estate broker driving around in my car *sniffle* putting out flyers...i'm the one who puts ads on your mailbox post (not the box itself since that's illegal). my plan is either to be a NC STATE TROOPER a computer dork or a social worker...it's all up in the air....but im really really interested in being a trooper, just not in the correct physical condition yet, gotta exercise ALOT.... *groan*

pardon me, but is this going to go on forever? i keep getting on to check the board and bam..it's a new thread about another thread being altered... yeh it sucks people have power over a site, but order vs chaos... it sets me in a bad mood when people are ripping throats... sorry to butt in...just thought id throw in some damn 2 cents...

i just kinda thought a part was a part you know.. understood they broke and got fixed, but gees.....makes me just want to mess with cars and see what happens and how things work/break/get fixed but not to a car i own ;) don't want to break it (more) and have it not be fixable (even more so)

so i got my car back...it's at my parents house :chairshot: :chairshot: (yes there are two there for a reason) i can't drive it, under the recommendation of my mechanic....it's a safety issue since we don't know what the F is wrong with it.. when my parents get back from their trip Eze is going back to the shop to have cheap used parts put on him to see if it helps.. starting the with cheapist to the most expensive..my mechanic worries that the computer itself might be the issue.. i just want my damn car back.. i hate camrys..i just want my lil lexus back...it was so sad to see my dad drive off in him..*sniffle* poor car, locked in a garage for another week... *sobs* i just want my car so bad...just to sit in it and smell him....the smell of coco butter and my surfboard air freshner...

knowing the cute boy who fixed my car up, im sure they cleaned it out, i mean i got a whole new part, they musta made sure it was a clean set up... i feel bad for the mechanics, they want to know as badly as i do wtf is going on.. *Sniffle* my first car, what the heck.. i get him back today :) still gonna mess up on me every morning on the way to school (had to pay for 2 vehcile registrations thanks to the dealership..i hate that damn dealership, it is the only one that i know of in NC and THEY SUCKKKKKK......jerks, never called us back...we had to hound them with calls to get an answer back about the car....*grumble* good ridance....never going back there) first day of school, let's hope i find a parking space....and that no one hits my car....

even if i had the money for the new es, i wouldn't get it...i LOVE the old style, don't like newer cars, dunno why....for example the toyota 4runner...freaking crackheads designed the new one.... not like i'll ever own a new lexus or toyota or anything over $8k ;) doesn't bother me, ill take the car i have *cough* and fix it up to my dream car (one-tone damnit) and that's fine with me... once that es comes out, ill look at the comments from owners and decide if it's even worth my money...i mean, it's all statistics right now, no one knows anything hands on..if that makes since...no one outside the company (the little guys) have any idea how it REALLY is.. *Sigh*

Ooo..ok....i know how the 88 camry felt when the shocks got old, for some reason it sure liked to bounce on bumps, like WAYYYY up then WAYY down...and made funny noises... so far mine are good, yay for decent parts! why would the lexus guys *GROWL* tell you to hook it up to a computer, how could it read something like that? or is that the change with the newer computer stuff, it can read little tiny details? which reminds me, why the heck would my left back end of the car be snugger on the tire (less room to move hand around to check level of tread) than the right back?? *grunt* did i mention im trying to get into auto mechanics :) sadly. all the courses were full, minus drive train, and i ain't ready for that yet. but next year depending on where i go to school, im gonna take some courses :) (i love cars and trucks...mmmm...i was the girl with the bedroom full of car and truck posters..and jets too......no one ever seemed to understand).......

all i coudl understand from mods is that, since the 92 was the first of it's type (not including the 250, but that's not the same style)...92 was the one with the issues, 93 had some add ons (ie passenger air bags, etc) the 94 was improved from that, and then we get the 95-96 *sigh* i want the latter. 92-93 had issues like mine is having after 110,000 miles, the 94 doesn't, changed the parts that SUCKED! little details were changed though, like buttons and all that..amenaties-can't spell.... speaking of which, is there any way i can get like a list of the progression of the es300 years, like, what changed for what year...i get the small outside changes but inside, what makes them different ;)

take it to a good mechanic for the look over and get a warrenty, and yeh, if you can, get a 94 or newer......the uprades are TOTALLY worth it all i'm gonna say about the dealer is never ever trust someone who you are going to give lots of money to.. look over that car from front to back....all over...look at every last little detail of that car...including tire tread. and haggle for the price, there's gotta be something you can get the price knocked down for ;) look around and see what else is availible, im sure you can find a newer that you'd like just as much... (not saying NO to the one you're looking at, but i'd say get newer, wish i had)

shocks leak? leak what??? i must say, i do enjoy the way my hood opens :) when i first opened the hood, i was freaking out cuz i couldn't find that bar to hold it up do the "luxury cars" today still use stuts, or is most stuff shocks... and if the struts take more load and ride better, why not put them on a truck? so, i have struts on my car?

nothing can be done for the next couple of weeks, im at school and the family is off to memphis, TN to drop my sister off at school. i told my dad though, i got a "we'll see"..that means no, but im gonna bug him until i get a yes. thanks, by the way ;) to you and EVERYONE for helping me, and for putting up with my whining.

oh, been there..done that... the mechanic had a heart attack or something(WASP Auto- where we take all our toyotas and the lexus). ill talk to my dad right now about an appointment there... the mechanic who was out on health leave was the only one my dad trusted..so um..that kinda sucks

my dad will take it anywhere for a good price ;) but he wont spend over $200 i figure......even if i tried to chip in he'd say no. import mechanic? what's that exactly?

so, since i don't know diddly about cars..WHAT THE HECK ARE STRUTS? sounds like alot of people are having trouble with them..and i have no earthly clue what they are

cant do anything with it..since im not the full freaking owner (parents). but trust me, i'd sell him if i could...it'd be like selling a puppy though, make sure he'd go to a good home ;) stupid damn things that break down.. stupid hurting heart, i love my car so much. :chairshot:

THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. THEY HAD 2 MECHANICS LOOK AT IT. AND NO CLUE. found out the part my mechanic put on is a non lexus part (cheaper...) and my dad is bitching about that (i dont care..as long as it functions correctly). they recommend replacing the mass air flow sensor and the hose... sensor is gonna be $600+ alone. someone just shoot me.

my check engine light came on when we bought the car..like the next day...they did something with the O2 sensor...and bam, no more light..but the damn car is still messing up...*sniffle* he's going to the shop today...im stuck with the 99 camry til i get my baby back....
