  2. I figured out the wires to use, so I thought I would share it with anyone else doing the nav install. The reverse wire can be found on the red wire with black stripe, number 14 on the 16 pin C8 connector (white) on the back of the instrument panel. The speed sense wire can be found on the violet wire with the white stripe, number 10 on the 10 pin C9 connector (grey), also on the back of the instrument panel. To get to the back of the instrument panel, take out the two phillips screws on the top underside of the plastic surround in front of the instrument panel glass. Remove the surround. Remove 4 phillips head screws securing the instrument panel. Remove the instrument panel. There are four harnesses on the instrument panel. The two your are interested in are the middle two. I have not so far had any luck finding a double DIN woodgrain replacement panel, but I did get a pretty good fit on the plastic universal trim peice after cutting it to size and a bit of fine sanding. If anyone finds a woodgrain one that will work, please let me know. Paul ← Paul, How did the nav install go? I am happy that I could help you out with your nav project.

  6. i have traded cars 10 times in the past three years so ....i love cars. i've looked at the z and it's way too small but looks good. the gto is a common looking gm car but good power and the new o6 lexus is350 is awsome. i looked at them and they are perfect. good ride,,,,extra power on some models and it is very sporty. kinda looks like the bmw 325. but nicer. that would be my choice. i have a 2002 silver sc430. good luck ← 2006 GS430
  7. I agree, I don't care for the window visors either [ reminds me of a van conversion back in the 70's ], Although I like the LED mirror turn signals. I wouldn't mind the chrome handles if they were replacements rather than covers. And the car apears to be a LEXUS not a TOYOTA CELSIOR unless it has been rebadged.
  8. AWWWW!!! S%#T, I guess I wasn't paying close attention, Anyway I will report on the results. I will go out and get the original and do a side by side comparison.
  9. Now that's what I'm talking about, Beautiful job blake. B)
  10. By the way, I had one low beam burn out on me and I brought it back to checker auto where I purchased it and they gave me a new one free of charge. 2+ Yrs. now.
  11. So, where did you get it from? I think thats good idea, i'm not sure about shifting but temp (summer) and how much? I'm a litlle broke now, just replaced most of front end suspention, let me know- it might be good investment ← They run about $50.00 and install in less than a hour, Any good auto shop should carry them or check online. Great investment and make sure you install a inline filter while you have the hoses off.
  12. The .mp3 files are converted to .wav files for playing in conventional players when you use WMP, Store bought cd's are not .mp3 files. Although you have the choice to convert them to .mp3 when recording if you were to put them on a IPOD or the like.
  13. No problem, I have had them for years.

  16. Is it just me?
  17. What I do with my cd's is copy it and then it becomes a "traveler" So if it gets scratched so what, I always have the original. And at the same time while the new cd is on my harddrive I put together a "mix" so I have all of my favorites on a couple of discs. And I did it all on the software that came on the OS so I saved myself $10.00 and bought cd's instead. But, To each his own. :whistles:
  18. What is so special about putting your favorite songs on cd's? Typically you can fit 18-22 songs [ depends on length ] on a cd, so 6 discs=120 of your favorite songs. I don't understand how this fixes the 6 disc player if is not working. Am I missing something here?
  19. After all, The worlds finest cars are rear wheel drive. Is there any information on the future of the ES?
  20. I wouldn't pay any more than a $1000.00 I can just imagine the problems. MHO <_< But anyway tell us more about the car.
  21. The bulb clips into the socket, The socket turns into the headlight housing.Try turning it real slow while lightly pulling the socket has to be pulled straight out not on any angle at all. I can change all 4 bulbs up front in 2 min. easy.
  22. Take your time and make sure the socket is being pulled strait out [ not even a slight angle ] it will pull out. Just get the silverstars, she'll appreciate them as much as you. ;)
  23. Thanx , Check your email. It says 2000 in your screen info? Maybe this is what you are looking for http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=24442&hl= Check it out and post your opinion.
