Why don't you just buy a used tach and epoxy the needle somewhere around 7000 and when the cart is floored look at the guage and say YIPEE !!!I'm really goin now. Have fun with the cart project, I had one when I was a kid and it was a blast, But it was stop or GOOOOO! Nothing inbetween.

Do yourself a favor and buy a OEM original toyota filter and call it a day. I have a K&N in my GS and factory toyota in my ES and am happy with both. The differences and gains have been discussed to no end , So it is to each his/her own choice. ;) ← Toyota oil filters. I sent this link to several friends around the USA and they found the speed traps to be quite accurate, Everyone should make a note where they are in there area. ;)

A case of oil filters, 1/2 dozen air filters, 12 quarts ATF fluid, a couple sets of wipers, And a set of brake pads. Oh and don't forget a LEXUS cap in your favorite color. ;)

I doubt there is an aftermarket adapter that will work. Why do you want to use a aftermarket cd changer with the stock headunit?
