  1. The speaker cover is snapped into the package tray. Just use a flat screw driver and pop it off. Then you will be able to unbolt it.
  2. Does the Lexus engine have an Idle Air Controller as I suspect it does? Mounted on the throttle body, the IAC meters air into the engine at idle when your foot has not opened the butterfly valve via the accelerator pedal. When the IAC valve gets stuck from being dirty, it can cause symptoms 1, 2, and 3. Not sure about symptom #4, have you checked your upstream (closest to the exaust manifold) 02 sensor which when it goes bad, can cause a dramatic loss of performance and fuel economy? Also check and see if both coils are good!
  3. Razahyde, Try this company. Distinctive Automotive Concepts, phone number (866) 571-0913 .They have done two steering wheels for me. They took my old leather wheels off my 94 & 98 LS. And made them look like factory.(Wood and all!) I sent them a wood sample for each car. And they match it very very close to the car. After talking to them. I now understand they can put wood on old leather shift knobs. Good luck! Sbguy There website is www.distinctiveautomotiveconcepts.com
  4. Call 1 800 used rim. That is where I got mine. Beware!! The tire size 245/45/18 is very costly. So do your home work. I also lost some of the smooth ride I love so much.

  8. Hi Jim, I have a 1990 ls. I take it to Luxury motorworks in Monrovia.626 256-4849.They a factory trained and use on oem parts. And they have 400ls for loan cars. Good luck, sbguy
  9. Edward R. I can help you on two of your issues: 1) I have used americanstitches to redo my steering wheel it came out great I told them I was an owners club member and they gave me a 10% discount. I went with a wood leather combo and it cost me $425. If you go OEM leather its about $230. 2) Your rattling sub, take off the sub grill and third light assembly and see if rattle goes away. If not you have a bad sub. If the rattle does go away you have a broken grill. It is $235 at the dealer, I fixed mine by taking the grill apart and cutting all the holes out, and putting dynamat sound proofing on the top and bottom of the grill. I then recovered with the fabric. Now there is no rattle what so ever at full bass. You can re-amp your car with an aftermarket 5 channel amp, I just had this done to my '90 Ls. The fifth channel is for the sub giving you more bass. As far as speakers I have memphis 4" in the doors and an 8" sub. The amp was powered at 1000 watts. hope this helps, Sbguy
