  1. Hi Lexus, Can you tell me, other than the drive train, what, in general, does the Extended Warranty cover. I'm just curious since there is so much disagreement over the benefits, or lack there-of, of extended warranties. I really don't know much about them. Thank you for your time. Paul
  2. Here is a link for Sewell. http://lexus.sewellparts.com
  3. Hello and welcome to the LOC. We're glad you're here. Since I don't live in Vancouver, and this forum has members from Russia to Australia, it may be sometime before a local person will jump in. Therefore, I will tell you what my experience has been. I purchased my all-weather mats from my local dealer. The price was competitive,(sorry I don't remember the exact price at the moment) and it was convenient. A vendor that supports this forum, Sewell Lexus, has many accessories for all Lexus models and can be reached on the web or through this forum. They have good prices and selection and excellent service. Another option would be E-Bay. Be sure your buying Lexus OEM mats to insure they will fit EXACTLY! Paul
  4. I have a question. After all this bantering, did this poor guy ever get his problem solved??!!! Paul
  5. Hi and welcome. I had a 2005 ES330, Black Garnet Pearl, Lexus 7 spoke Chrome wheels. I found that even though the manual called for Premium fuel the 330 ran very well on mid-grade 89 octane. Lexir is right, this debate is consistent, but mostly over the new Lexus recommendations on the new 2010-2011 editions. IMO, I would be comfortable using 89 octane, as I use it in my 2010 ES350. Oil is a highly personal thing. The specs on a 330 call for every 5000 if I remember correctly. Whether to use regular oil or synthetic you will have to research for your self, since you will get no consensus on this forum. However, I am starting out my 350 on synthetic. Just my own conclusion. SW is our local expert on detailing and paint care. It can be as involved and time consuming as you wish. Look at the detailing section. If your a do-it-yourself type, go for it. Me, not so much. I have mine detailed every 6 months @ about $190. It's worth it to me than spending a full day or more ruining a great paint job. Hope this helps. Paul
  6. I don't know the answer to your question right off, but there are similar request from time to time for other interior dash lights. I would suggest you do a search of the forums. Paul
  7. Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club! We are glad your here. Your English is fine so don't worry. I do not know the answer to your question but hopefully someone will come on with an answer. Paul
  8. I did a quick search looking at fuel shut off, or fuel shut. The most common result was fuel pump, but I doubt that would be your problem. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in. Paul
  9. How much does it cost to pull the tanker truck behind the Ram?!!!LOL - Man O Man. I'd have to carry an ATM machine with me.LOL Paul
  10. Just FYI, the price I post is for regular, 87 octane. Lexir, whats your guess??? Paul
  11. The buyer will want to know how much it will cost to fix the sensor problem. If you will start at $16,250 or $16,500 you will have room to come down and cover your cost and you'll look like a hero. Remember, when it comes to price, you can always go down but you can never go up. Using KBB is smart when your local market is so volatile. It gives you a recognized standard that the buyer can agree on and also see that you didn't make your price up out of thin air. Good Luck Paul
  12. One hour ago, went from $3.38 to $3.53. So guys, when will it hit $4.00. I will take April Fools Day, (my ex-wifes B-day. Fitting) Whats your guess. Free beer to the winner courtesy of dcfish! Paul
  13. My neighbor just came back from a 4,000 mile trip south and east. He has a 2010 Avalon, and I assume it is the same Nav unit as the ES350. He said the Nav worked very well, but the voice feature was almost useless with the exception, that he was able to input new destinations while driving using voice commands. However, it took a lot of patience!! Used my Nav last night, impressed with some particular features such as multiple lane position. Better as compared to the Garmin.

  16. :) Paul...you have to use the voice recognition every once in awhile to get a good laugh! I love it :) ME: Call Office... Lexy baby (that is my name for my GX, my rx was too ) so anyway LEXI BABY SAYS..."SAT RADIO" I just get a laugh out of it... :) You are truly twisted my friend.LOL!!!!
  17. I consider myself a loyal Lexus owner and for good reason. I like and enjoy the product, and the support I have received from the dealer has been exceptional. But on this matter they are just wrong. I have given up on the voice recognition system and do not even try to use it any more. Since I bought the car in August of last year, I don't even need one hand to count the number of times this system has worked. As for the Navigation issue, for me this is more of a nuisance thing than a major "I can't stand it" issue. Yet, on a long trip it can become more than a nuisance and a downright dangerous safety problem when trying to pull off the road in heavy multi-lane traffic. And now with as many people complaining about it as there are, and with the huge customer dissatisfaction issue this has become, why is Lexus/Toyota continuing to act like children with their hands over their ears? If nothing else, at least give your customers the common courtesy of a response to our complaints. I'm not one for crusades and I don't know if the man from Club Lexus is all wet or not, but I am especially sensitive to good customer service and this is not an example of one. Paul
  18. Yes, LEXIR is right. You either have a heck of a short or a ground issue. If your not handy, a good car audio shop can fix your problem.
  19. I guess what surprised me, was the lack of a at least a "Dear John" letter from Lexus to this mans repeated letters.
  20. In this post he seems to be going to great lengths over one feature that doesn't seem to be life threating! Thanks for the reply TX. Paul
  21. Really, has anyone ever heard of this? It is on Club Lexus, and speaking of Club Lexus, I sincerely enjoy the LOC a whole lot more. LOC, the best.
  22. "How the Middle Class became the Underclass". Is this you? Theory about Unions and economy. http://money.cnn.com/2011/02/16/news/economy/middle_class/index.htm?iid=MPM
  23. Seems to be consistant with other post on the site. The more miles, the better the MPG. Hang in there.
