  1. Why is it that it seems that everyone refers to lexls.com for reference? The tutorials were posted first, on here. Just curious as to why that site gets so much love from DIY'ers....

Did you replace the injector seals? It might be a vacuum leak at the injector seals.

  2. That mark on the lower portion of the crankshaft sprocket isn't the TDC mark. That mark is to make your life easier when it comes time to align the pulleys. The TDC mark on that sprocket is visible/located on the top. Don't worry too much about getting the marks to line up with the marks on the belt right now. The important thing is that the marks on the camshaft pulley's and crankshaft, line up with the marks on the engine. Are they aligned?

  3. It depends on how much WHP you are shooting for. Are you going for a fully built motor or are you just going to use a thicker headgasket? Who is going to tune the car for you? Is the "tuner" going to use a stand-alone for fuel management or chip burn it? Is the "tuner" going to run the HFM in a draw-through or blow-through set-up, or no HFM at all (MAP sensor). Are you going to add a level 10 torque converter to your transmission?

There's a lot to "slapping" on a turbo. If you're still interested in going the FI route and would like some help, then please answer the above questions.

  4. Did you align the mark on the crank before or after you removed the belt? It shouldn't matter anyways, unless you actually spun the crankshaft in circles, without the belt attached. The mark on the crankshaft probably only moved 1/4" either way. Just re-align it by spinning it a little to the left/right, when it's time to put everything back together.
