  1. anthonyaragon20, Several threads on this issue for your generation ES point to slipping clutches and failed solenoids inside the tranny. Its best to get the tranny codes read by Toyota/Lexus as they have the scanner needed to pull the tranny codes. At that point you'll know whether the tranny needs a rebuild or replacement. Depending on the mileage of your car, a used one might be the way to go. One person with much the same symptoms found that a transmission filter change and a complete fluid flush fixed his issue. Good Luck!

  4. And the lights! You’ll notice that the light actually passes through the chrome “L” of the emblem as well as through the circuit piece, because it’s made out of clear plastic, with only a very, VERY thin coat of chrome. I think it’s pretty cool! B) Light OFF (no buttons pressed) Light ON (when a button is pressed) Lights OFF (no buttons pressed). The circuit area appears black here, but that's only due to the lack of external light. During the day, it looks like it does in the 20 pictures displayed above. <_< Lights ON (when a button is pressed) So please tell me what you guys think! It was a fun project and definitely worth the effort. It’s definitely unique! :)
