rdpa Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 and I am unable to locate the fuel filter. I removed the air filter, etc., and still can't find it! Help! Where is it? rdpa
Em91 Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 I don't know for sure but, if it is the same location as my 91 it is under the car towards the back, on the driver side. It is almost directly under the driver side back seat. On the 91 there is a cover that you have to take off first so that you can see it. I hope this helps.
VMF Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 i beleive it might be under the rear differential and you have to lift the car up to change it. its not an ez job and you can get gas spills all over ur face.

That's right VMF....... I gladly paid a mechanic to change it out.......you should have seen the gas fly :P
tansupplyman Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 remove gas cap(depressure system) ; use plastic trash bag; undo fittings with hand encased in the bottom of the bag so as to use the bag to catch gas when it comes out. also, goggles. All this if you do yourself. OH, don't smoke !!!! :D
rdpa Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 It was as stated, under the car, driver's side, rear seat, and covered by a thin plate. Never would have found it on my own.
