rfreeny
Can someone guide me on what the check VSC light on means? I cannot reset. Previously it would go out and come on occasionally…now it stays on all the time? Please help.. 2006 Lexus LS
RX400h
VSC stands for "Vehicle Stability Control". Your first step should be to have the code checked. A code scanner is plugged into the OBD II port that is typically below the driver's side dash and to the left. Hopefully whoever extracts the code will be able to tell you what is faulty. You can also look up the code by typing "Lexus code XXXX" into a search engine on your computer.
rfreeny
I will definitely get it checked out. Thank you so much.
Bykfixer
Without the check engine light lit it could be as simple as a dirty wheel speed sensor. With a check engine light it could be a multitude of things involving pollution controls like a dirty cat convertor. If you don't have access to a checker a number of auto part store that will check it for you at no cost. Just be sure to thank them by purchasing a keychain or a bottle of car wax or something.
