Our gas is cheap because Memphis has a refinery, also oil travels on the Mississippi River. Of course, my little finicky car has to have 93 octane though. VBdenny Posted December 17, 2014 Share Posted December 17, 2014 Just returned from a lap to Boston and Syracuse. Paid $3.09 on the NYS Thrusway but it was Sunoco and they had pump handle locks. Paid $3.01 in Syracuse again at a Sunoco. Stopped for gas on the eastern shore in Virginia (Sunoco of course) and forked over $2.66. Back in Virginia Beach, saw $2.29 at an off brand.
