Hello, I hope this post is in the right place, first time I have used these forums. I recently got a 1999 LS 400, 115,000 miles. I replaced several things on it since it sat around for awhile: tires, timing belt, valve grommets, etc. Recently I replaced all four O2 sensors as well. The other day, the car cut off while I was idling at a stoplight, then did it again when I got home and parked, and the RPMs would drop to 2-300 and almost cut off again whenever I was idling and turned the AC off. (Yes, OFF, very odd). I took it to the shop and got the code "p0171 *Bank 1 system too lean - pending" I was told this could mean too much oxygen in the cylinder, which could be a vacuum leak. Or the code could be from the MAF, CTS, injector, ecu, etc. What does this usually indicate? Also, if there is too much oxygen in the cylinder, could this cut the car off when idling?
