Paul202
Hi, I have a strange issue with the combustion engine on my RX400H. At approx 50mph (80km/hr) the combustion engine suddenly stops running for 1 second and then fires up immediately. If I check the power gauge I see the needle drop and then immediately jumps back to 'normal'. If I lower or raise the throttle (so away from the 50mph) the issue disappears. Any ideas? Regards, Paul. maseace
How do you know it actually stopped running? It will always be turning at that speed. The power gauge dip doesn't mean the ICE stopped running. It may have just done a normal transition between motor and generator states. Check the energy flow meter on the touchscreen next time to see what it shows.
Paul202
Hi Mason, Thanks for the reply. I will check the energy screen next time; it's a good tip. The reason I expect the ice stop running, is that you can feel the car holding back a little. Similar like lifting your right foot of the gas. Regards, Paul.
