I need to replace the Ballast for the HID head lights on a 98 Lexus GS400. I see many, many ballasts on the web. Two things: 1) recommendation for source of replacement Ballast 2) step by step how to install replacement Ballast I have been quoted $2000 (yes 2 thousand dollars) to replace the ballast. Since the ballast from Lexus is $199.99 I find this hard to swallow. Need to get this taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

silverbullitt Posted February 17, 2012 Share Posted February 17, 2012 The bumper has to come off. The ballast to the headlight is on the bottom supported by 4 screws.
