Ok, sorry if this has been discussed previously. I did a search and didn't get any results. 98 Lexus GS400, passenger side HID head light. New bulb, new ballast, fuse is good, have 12 volts at the connector to the ballast, light comes on for a few seconds then shuts off. Ideas??? Was quoted $1200 + labor. They wanted to replace the whole head light assembly. Need some help here. Thanks.

Did not see how to search the forum. This subject has probably been discussed previously. I need to replace the Ballast for the HID head lights on a 98 Lexus GS400. I see many, many ballasts on the web. Two things: 1) recommendation for source of replacement Ballast 2) step by step how to install replacement Ballast I have been quoted $2000 (yes 2 thousand dollars) to replace the ballast. Since the ballast from Lexus is $199.99 I find this hard to swallow. Need to get this taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you
