Just wondering if anybody has changed their own timing belt on the 3.3liter engine on the hybrid? Also any precautions or unusual tasks that might make it more difficult?

I was looking around, and it looks like other than stuff on top (brake master) there is actually less to remove for the replacement...The crankshaft pulley is still there minus any belts. What is your thought? I would like to save some money so that I could get the Vais for the ipod sooner.

I want to know about this too... I'm rolling at 95k here so I'm alittle behind :(

I took a peak under The only thing I see that wound be P.I.T.A would be the Crank Pully.. rest looks way easier than Normal v6 timing belt change

I looked last night, the only bad thing I saw is that the windshield cowl is more over the rear cover than on the RX300...Might have to move the brake cylinder resevoir...I am taking pictures and filing them away...The belt should make an easy 100k miles, but yes you are closer than I am..I only have 89k miles....

Dear lenore, As far as I am aware the 3.3 litre V6 engine is a chain cam engine and that there are no rubber timing belts to change.

There's definitely a timing belt to change. See the attached removal instruction from the service manual, and the 90k maintenance page specifying replacement of the timing belt.
