Mr Bill
My 96 ES300 has just over 100k miles. Despite a high reading (50 out of a max of 51 ppm hydrocarbons) 2 years ago, it just passed a smog check again today. Given that to change the 3 O2 sensors is something like $400 or more, should I go ahead and change them to protect the catalytic, or just wait until I get a CEL?? Thanks to those who responded to my other O2 sensor question on resetting the ECM. Thank you Bill
SKperformance
If the actual o2 sensors readingas are normal when hot then don;t change them you are only wasting money get a motorvac done and clean all of tehm including the cat
Mr Bill
that makes sense - but I have a question - what is a "motorvac" ?? I have never heard of that.
SKperformance
A high pressure fuel rail treatment it uses a machine and the gas tank is shut off and it runs off the machine with higher pressure nad a solution it cleans the crap out of the engines rails valves intake exhaust manifolds cat and exhuast as well as the combustion chamber. For about $100 it will 100% make the car dirve like a whole new one totally different froma basic fuel aditive.
