The manual recommends changing the oil at 5k miles. The first oil change is free from the dealer according to what I was told. Lexusfreak Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 I would go the proper interval as per the owners manual....many have suggested that if you want to use synthetic to properly break in the engine first with dino oil at around the 10k mile mark before making the switch.
