440racer
I've been offered a 2000 gs 300 with 210,000 miles for about $6900 I'm told the car has had all recommended service completed on time by Lexus which I will verify. Any feedback on the price, what to look for, what to avoid and what kinds of questions to ask? I've never owned a Lexus but have always admired the GS. djspawn00
well if it runs great and everything else is in tip top shape.. $5900 would be a good deal... $6900 not so much... considering its not fuel efficient... and you probably have to change the timing belt again... Yes, I thought $5900 was more reasonable also. I may offer that and see what happens. I saw some posts on changing the timing belt and I think I could handle that. You mentioned the mileage. I just noticed your post below. 16-18 is pretty low. I think my wife's 3.5 ltr pathfinder gets 19-22. I really liked the gs300 we drove this weekend but that kind of mileage scares me a little. Thanks for the input.
LeeC81
How many miles can you get out of a gs300? for a car with that many miles; don't you have to change like spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, etc? man, that's like 1 gram right there. 99GS300G
Seems like high mileage to me. More miles...more problems if all the parts didn't get changed out. I'd pass first, but if I were seriously interested I'd offer $4,500. You can get a decent 98-01 with 50K-80K miles for $9K-$10K.
