lexus400
The seats in my '91 are shot and the base has always been a little short. Has anyone upgraded from a newer model? LS430 maybe? thanks, Bob
python
ya i would like to know this also, i know the wiring connector must be different, but will the seats mount up?
OmarG
i saw a 92 on ebay with 95 seats. I asked the seller but he said they were in the car when he bought it. I'm thinkin 95+ seats will work perfectly, just splice the connectors. cool now all i need to do is find some cheap seats.
1990LS400
I searched this forum back to 2004 and didn't find any threads that said that a forum user had personally gotten newer front seats to work in a gen 1 LS400. The front seats are not all that hard to remove. Does anyone with a gen 1 LS400 who wants newer seats have a friend with a 95-00 LS400 or LS430 who would be up for a "seat swap" experiment? Or does anyone have documented hard evidence that seats from a 95-up LS will or will not fit into a gen 1 LS400?
lexus400
I agree, I've had the seats out a couple of times when I re-dyed them. They come out in less than 10 mins so it would be easy enough to do a side by side swap with another car. If anyone comes up with something please let me know, I'll do the same. Looks like a few of us want to do this..... Bob
