jcrome04 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Behind a little removable piece in the glove box. Change it if it's dirty! Or just vacuum it, or blow it out with an air gun.
AZ Mike Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I change mine every 30K miles. You can get them on the pretty inexpensively.

Lexls Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 He's got a 93. I'm pretty sure the cabin filter wasn't added until 95 (second gen).
1990LS400 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 I don't know where the filter is or if it is replaceable but I remember that a big deal was made of it when Lexus made the air filtration system standard on the 1993 US spec LS400. The filtration system was previously an option elsewhere at a cost equivalent to, if I remember correctly, over $1,000. Here is a web page that mentions the air filtration system: http://www.familycar.com/RoadTests/Lexus1s...Lexus1stGen.htm
OmarG Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 i just replaced mine after buying the filter a whole year ago. Mine had mildew and had so many leaves and dirt. I think it got rid of the stench that came from the vents. I'm gonna inspect my sisters and my mom's this week. i bought mine from the dealer and it came with a replacement sticker in japanese and detailed instructions. So if you buy an OEM one, as long as you know how to use a screwdriver your good ;)
