I have a 99 RX300 2WD. Curently having problem of VVTi system. Finally, I found that the OCV signal (bank2) output from the ECM E7 pin 18 and 29 gives only noise instead of the 12V pulse signal. I have also checked the OCV (bank 1) and the signal is perfectly a square 12V wave. Is there any way to repair the ECM or should it be replace. Are both bank 1 and 2 OCV share the same signal? For temporary, if I connect the bank 2 OCV together with bank 1 signal, will this damage the ECU?

What codes are you getting, the sensor may be bad and can be replaced without much difficulty.....

Wow. Talk about alphabet soup. Anyone old enough to remember simple things like carburetors, timing, dwell, and plug wires? :) Taking my 72 Corvette out tomorrow on a 200 mile trip. VVTi, OCV, ECM, ECU. Next, you will find that the flux capacitor has gone bad.

I already replaced my Flux capacitor with a new HD Super Viper Doppler 9000 system. or( SVD9-HD)

Be careful!! On a car that old, after 200 miles, you could blow a reluctor. And don't forget, you will need to rotate the air in the tires when you are done. :lol: BTW, I have a C5. Save the wave! ;)
