Hello,

I bought a 1998 GS 300 with the navigation a while ago. I had some body work done to the vehicle after I bought it and never used the Navigation until now. I got an error that read "Hard Disk Error" after I popped the trunk and checked the navigation system I found out the hard drive disk was not there. I am pretty sure it was there when I dropped the car off but since I got estimates from 3 shops I am out of luck in regards to holding someone accountable. Sewell and other dealers are charging $360 for the updated (2004) hard disk, however, they are still wanting the core and charge $500 without it. Anyone have a disk I can purchase outright or any other ideas?

thnx :(

It is hard disk based so you need the whole unit to be updated.

They are on ebay all the time. It is an old and no longer supported format.
