I've seen this before and it may have to do with the security feature. Try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes then reattach.

The repair man told me that the laser "pick-up" wasn't working and that the spindle was most likely bad also. I decided not to get it repaired or replaced. Instead I am installing a Ipod hookup through the amplifier.

My CD player wasen't working when I bought the car, and the lady that owned it said it had not worked for a long time. Well I have had it for just over a year and I bought the CD cleaner/restorer disc today. Fixed it. Boy does that Naki system sound sweet. Cost about $9.00, worth every penny of it.
