seanmathes Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 How do you get the rear rotors off of a 2000 gs300??????? I have searched everywhere and can't find any answers? Please someone fill me in gotta get these back to napa to have them resurfaced within the hour. Thanks Sean
smooth1 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 You just remove the brake calipers and you pull them off. They may be stuck, and make sure the parking brake is not on.
1sikgs Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 yeah. i've had this problem before also. like smooth1 said, check to make sure the e-brake is disengaged. if it is, you'll have to tap it off with a hammer.
seanmathes Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 There is actually quite a bit more to this than just removing the caliper and hitting it with a hammer. You have to turn the gear that loosens the parking brake, then the rotors will come off easily.

You have to turn the gear that loosens the parking brake, then the rotors will come off easily. you don't have to do that but if you choose to loosen your e-brake then make sure you re tighten them otherwise you may have a really loose e-brake when you need it
