Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Do you have a recommendation for a commonly available injector cleaner? One I used to use I can no longer find, it was a concentrate and only called for 2-3 ounces per tank. Just looking to put in a tank of gas and clean things out.
93ls400walt Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Seafoam at any parts store. $5-6 per can.
Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Seafoam at any parts store. $5-6 per can. Great, thanks for the referral--I had read about Seafoam on the site but did not realize it was for injectors too.
dole2000 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I used Lucas this past November and it worked great. But, it is hard to beat Seafoam.
Guest Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Just a testimonial for Sea Foam Injector Cleaner. IT WORKED GREAT! I had a persistent check engine light, change a left bank O2 sensor but still had the CEL, maddening after $245 was downt he drain at the repair shop (I had not seen the posts on how easy it is to repair that myself!) Anyway, poured Sea Foam in the gas tank and four or five short errands later the CEL went off, so must have just been a stuck injector. I am a big fan now--thanks for the recommendation guys!
bicol-ini Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 i use BG44K every four months, good stuff, pricey though 15 bucks a can, just add it to gas tank when almost empty
