PLEASE RESPOND??? Betarbiaa@hotmail.com
93LSOwner Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 1. Please do not write in all caps as it is considered yelling and also disrespectful. 2. Yes to you answer. That is the best way to go and recommended for anyone who feels that dealerships are too expensive for them. 3. Do you own or work for a Lexus "specialist"? (from your name and last post...)
Suburbazine Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 *toes a wire* I think this is spam... He's already advertised his business in his only other post.
93LSOwner Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Yes, but I did not want to call him out directly. I don't think he will be posting again any time soon.
UCF3 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I'll ask him. If he's soliciting business; his business can go through the proper channels. Thanks guys.
RX400h Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I think at this point it is only an inquiry and I would have to answer - yes, especially after the warranty period has expired. Dave
lexustech Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 This is not an advertisement. I was just asking a question. I own a lexus myself. Just a question.
JIBBBY Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I would correct any problem myself..... That's just me... Anyway, never take your car to a new car dealership for repairs or maintenance unless it is free and still under warranty.... The only positive that comes from taking your Lexus to a new car dealership is that they will be using true OEM parts that's it......Other then that it is a total rip off.... I have found that some import repair shops are just as knowledgeable as the any dealership repair center... Find one that's been around for a while... Find a local good import repair shop near you and take your car to them...Ask in advance for any replacement parts, also tell them your your here to save money and not pay dealership prices, and lastly tell them you will be looking over any repair they do for legitamacy... Hopefully all that will keep some grease balls on the up and up..... Good luck...
93LSOwner Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Dealership vs. Independent shops discussion has been discussed very thoroughly in the past. There is no disagreement on whether one is more knowledgeable than the other or one fixes your car “better.” Bottom line: It boils down to your personal and work life and whichever choice is more convenient for you, even if it comes at a greater price.
