  1. I would recommend Chantilly Repair Center. They are an independent lexus and Toyota specialist. www.chantillyrepaircenter.com They are extremely qualified and have all the necessary equipment to do everything that the dealer can do. Good luck.
  2. Because of the age of the vehicle...Timing belt and water pump and the front seals are very important. The engine is a zero tolerance engine which means that your engine could be badly damaged if the timing belt breaks on you. On a typical 90k service your timing belt, water pump, seals and oil and filter change, transmission fluid, engine coolant, pcv valve, tire rotation and balance of the front tires, wiper inserts, air filter, surpentine belt, will be replaced in addition to come inspection of the key components of the vehicle. There is a shop in chantilly VA called Chantilly Repair Center that specializes in Lexus and Toyota vehicles, that maybe an alternative to dealer. They use genuine lexus parts and are very well equiped with lexus and toyota equipment. Hopefully they can be of some help to you. Chantillyrepaircenter.com Good luck.
  3. If you recently had any kind of service done to where they may have had the need to disable the fuel pump, (performing a fuel injection clean requires techs to disable fuel delivery) the connector for the fuel pump is located by the left side kick panel and they may have not pluged it in all the way. It is very unlikely that a AAA tech would know exactly which wire to wiggle and fix a car without some diagnosis. There are soo many wires in a vehicle. After a vehicle's engine starts and is running, there is no input from the immoboliser to the engine control module any further. I am in Northern Virginia area, email me if you have any more technicle questions.
  4. it would be wise to clean all surfaces that has any oil leak residue. Make sure the leak is complete clean. Recheck and confirm that the leak is not oil residue from oil filter removal and or rear main engine oil seal. It is very rare to have the number one oil pan to leak on those model. If it did not leak for soo many miles it is unlikely to have the number one oil pan leak because of how they seal those in the factory.
  5. This is not an advertisement. I was just asking a question. I own a lexus myself. Just a question.
