lambobaby1218 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 So I've noticed that I'm getting 2 mpg better since I've had my car serviced at 30k. Believe it or not, I'm getting 30 mpg. I do drive a lot freeway. Okay, something just occurred to me. Maybe it's because it's the holiday week and there's not a whole lot of stopping-and-going??? Anyways, I'm just trying to figure out why I would be getting better mileage........NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING!!!
Sidney07 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Thats pretty impressive...what might be your average speed for this econo-Lexus-mpg?
Cherokee_Outlaw Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Thats pretty impressive...what might be your average speed for this econo-Lexus-mpg? The best I've gotten in my IS350 was 28mpg.. that was 75mph and on cruise control... Then right when I get off the Interstate.. it drops down to 15-19 MPG fast... After 13,500 miles.. my overall is around 18...
lambobaby1218 Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 Thats pretty impressive...what might be your average speed for this econo-Lexus-mpg? My average speed is between 75 and 80. When I drove 65, just for the heck of it, and to test out the mpg, I got about 32 mpg. I do use the roads often, not just highway. But I guess the highway evens it out.
bartkat Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I think you get a new engine air filter at 30,000. That might help some.
glr Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I'll guess they checked and then increased your tire pressure a bit.
cdeslandes Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 If they changed the oil and your air filter, that's not surprising.
