Rx330driver
I just read an article about how Toyota motor corp doesnt make very safe cars, including lexus. I doubted it until i did more research here. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/head_restraint...ints.aspx?lexus while our cars may hold up well in a frontal collision...the cars dont protect its occupants as well as it should in a rear collision. im especially worried with the POOR next to the RX
bartkat
I'm not worried. IS gets an A.
SW03ES
No, look at the results for all cars. Most cars get much poorer ratings in the rear than in the front. Lexus ratings for rear collisions are also way up this year, yet now someone decides to write a story. The statement "Toyota doesn't make very safe cars" is an absolute lie. A simple examination of their results vs their competition proves it to be so.
Lexusfreak
I'm impressed that Subi's did quite well. B) http://www.iihs.org/ratings/head_restraint...nts.aspx?subaru
blake918
Speaking of crash tests, here are the LSs in action: '97: '01: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQRWOO9Dcjw&NR I don't know if it's me, but the 430 looks to hold up a lot better than the 400. Rx330driver
oh god, no offense, but the LS400 is totally like dead. that would not be the car of choice for me to be in at the time of a crash
SW03ES
Don't judge by how it looks, look at the ratings and description of the results. If you do that you'll see the 430 is only marginally safer than the 400. 95-00 Ratings: http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=71 01-06 Ratings: http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=209 EDIT- scratch that, the 430 is NO safer than the 400. How did the 1990 - 1994's do? Or do the crash tests not go back that far Steve?

Or drinking. Or flying with a guy with more radiation then a used fuel rods. Then again a study by Insurance people...hmm
