Hid - Will It Trigger The Onboard Warning Message?

Recommended Posts

Thanks guys for your help .

I think it should work fine as well - There is nothing in the manual that says a warning message will be displayed for low/high beam failure.

I am asking because xtralights are trying to sell me the more expensive version which has the on-board computer warning display disable function.

They say that after you upgraded your original halogen lights with our HID Xenon lights, the on-board computer detects that there are aftermarket modifications to the original lights thus displays this warning message.

Now is that pure BS or are they trying to make me pay more for the kit. ? :chairshot:

Cheers

How about this....this is what I have been told by xtralights.... I cant see how a chip in the ballast installed to trick the on board computer into not displaying a warning message, is needed for it to turn on!

It just won't turn on if you do not use the special ballasts. Because we

sold to couple customers and they told us it must have those special

ballasts.
