RXGirl Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Does anyone know if there is a standard checklist Lexus uses before selling a used Lexus? We purchased a used '05 RX 330 a few weeks ago (only 12k miles! Like new!) And I'm just wondering, specifically, if they check things like the O2 sensor and MAF Sensor. With the volitility of gas prices, I want to be sure my RX is getting the best mileage possible. Also, it would be great to know (if it can be known) what they checked before they sold me the RX. Thanks for any input!
lexus411 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 if it was certified you can ask them for a copy of the check out sheet that has all items..
SKperformance Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 There is no standard. If you have a question about the inspection service guess who you should ask for a direct and specific answer. Anyone on here can only make assumptions to your query.
LexKid630 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I doubt they did anything but make sure al lthe fluid levels were topped off and change the oil if a service was near. At that little age & mileage, not much can go wrong.
Rx330driver Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 im pretty sure there was some sort of test drive...to see if everything "sounded" alright. These cars are made "insert word meaning tough" so i dont think anything would be wrong with it
RX_brain Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 If you bought your car CPO, there's a checklist that the dealer must go through in order to certify the car. My dealer gave me a copy of mine in PDF format. I'm sure if you ask your dealer they should be able to provide you with a copy. There's a Emission Control Test and Cat Converter item on the checklist.
