Argelius Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but my searches didn't come up with much. I am currently driving a 2006 BMW 330xi and am always in a state of fantasizing about my next car. I am curious if/when Lexus is planning on releasing a hybrid version of its IS model. I love my BMW, but would really like having a car that get good gas milage (as much out of principle as economics). Thus far Lexus' focus is power over economy with its line of hybrids. Hoping they'll make an IS version that has power and good milage... Thanks for your thoughts!
Rx330driver Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 all signs point to no? its hard to say, lexus is always secretive about its cars in production, its hard to get "spy shots" of their next vehicles. There have been many rumors about an IS500 coupe, and if that is the case, i doubt they will be spending all their time making 2 new models.
mehullica Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I have seen photos of a coupe and couple convertible which are on paper for release in 8-16 months. No hybrid yet that I've seen.
RX400h Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I could've sworn I saw an article about an IS diesel. Has anyone else seen this?
Rx330driver Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 yes they have them in europe, the IS220D. You wont get htem here
