Gas On Reserve?

How many gallons of gas are on reserve after the low fuel light comes on? Is it like most other cars with 3 gallons on reserve? Also, if the RANGE is 1 mile left, will the car stop after 1 mile? Or does it go on reserve after that?

I can speak only from experience with my 02 ES, but it should be very similar.

A full tank usually starts my Driving Range display at about 340 miles. When that gets down to 20 miles the low fuel light comes on. I fill up and have to put between 15.5 and 16 gallons in the tank. The tank is an 18.5 gallon tank so I deduce that my actual remaining fuel is about 2.5 or 3 gallons. Being conservative in my calculations I should get about 30-50 miles of driving left when the Driving Range display gets to 0.

That sounds about the same. I've only run mine till the fuel light comes on one time. I figure it had approx 2.5 gallons left. The tank MPG guage is usually about 1 MPG low compared to my calculated fill up MPG so the range would probably also read around 20 - 30 MPG when fuel light comes on.
